Rico Verhoeven will get wiped out by the next decent HW he faces

The element of surprise and not having a clue what to prepare for under pure boxing rules nearly cost a same size elite skilled Belly a loss against a slow and very basic Ngannou who actually boxed a very cagey discipled fight in that fight not simply going in there to try and overwhelm Belly with his vicious KO power like Belly and everyone else expected

Rico had that same element of surprise and a massive size advantage whilst being very athletic and fast for his size, a great game plan, with a great gas tank to keep moving like a much lighter fighter for at least 11 rounds which very few would've expected going in including Usyk and he was fighting an Usyk who is almost 40 y/o, well past his prime, and came in at a career highest weight of 233lbs which made him extremely sluggish and worked heavily in Rico's favour not his when he's already declined a lot in all speed related areas and that decline started long ago too.

Rico deserves a ton of credit and performed brilliantly but even though I think he has the physical attributes, skills, intangibles to compete at this level vs other boxers his huge size advantage coupled with everything else both on his and Usyk's sides was absolutely crucial here and it was a crucial factor in the success he was able to have and it's not an advantage he would have over the other top HWs

 

Still doesn't change the fact that you're a ****ing idiot and that you'll never come close to comprehending this sport on the level that I do.

 

I'm the CEO of The Holy Church of Usyk but I'm not even shocked or even particularly distraught by this because I've been telling you all for years that Usyk has slowed down an awful lot and is past his prime and I also told you that he's at an age where only 2 fighters in the history of the sport have ever won a HW world title fight and both were career HW power punching 240-250lb + giants with extremely high KO% and had taken a decade and four year long breaks from the sport respectively

An age where there has only been one older P4P king in the history of the sport/P4P and they were 40 y/o

And I also told you Rico was no joke, that due to a whole variety of different factors aligning was dangerous and posed a real threat, and that people need to stop writing off these combat sports athletes from different disciplines who cross over into boxing because I've seen far too many of them do really well or far better than and everyone expected them to even against boxing greats, elite boxers, and elite skilled boxers and again, for the umpteenth time, I've been proven right
