Usyk doesn't have time for that. You can't expect him to beat every opponent twice forever. He beat AJ twice, he beat Fury twice, he beat Dubois twice. How much can you prove your superiority?
Verhoven performed better than expected, Usyk less so, but he still knocked him out with a heavy knockout, and assuming a win even before the 12th round, he would still have the upper hand in this fight.
If Oleksander wants to continue his career, he should fight Agit, a topic that's been around for a while. Rico had his chance, performed surprisingly well, but didn't win that fight.
    My vote is no.
Besides, although this is just my opinion, Usyk would probably perform much better in a rematch because the element of surprise with Verhoven's unique style would be removed.
I'll put it this way. Rico got this fight for a bit of a payday anyway, so let him beat someone near the top of the heavyweight division and earn a second chance. Dubois was supposed to shake things up in the rematch, and the difference in level was later amply demonstrated.

That fight was so interesting and Verhoeven gave him a serious test, so that it sort of competes with the Kabayel question which is bizarre considering the difference in experience between Kabayel and Verhoeven in a boxing ring. If there’s no belts on the line, I’m all for it. Let Kabayel fight for a title and if Usyk wins he can try to win it back.

You people calling for a rematch are absolutely insane. We've had enough of those. And now you want Usyk to rematch a kickboxer ?

The kick-boxer performed amazingly and was winning the fight and if the ref had given him the benefit of the doubt to come out for round 12, he was either going to be stopped in the next round or the scorecards were going to be interesting. He got the win which was legitimate but not without some controversy and a lot of questions unresolved.

Yes. But Rico also studied Usyk. Do you agree?

Of course, that's a possibility. However, of the two, Usyk underperformed, while Verhoven impressed with his performance. So if someone has more room to be "better" and improve, I'd go with Usyk.

But that's just speculation on my part at this point.

The ideal solution would be for Rico to confirm his class now with a different name. If he wins in style and Usyk continues boxing without a loss so far, then we could consider giving him a second chance.

At this point, organizing a second fight immediately is, in my opinion, an overreaction to the guy's good performance.

He got this fight on credit anyway. Let him earn a rematch. And no one has the right to expect anything from Usyk except that if he wants to continue holding the belts, he must remember his championship responsibilities, and those don't include giving someone a rematch just because they "performed well in the fight."

No. Usyk knocked Rico out so I really don’t care about an immediate rematch. Time to move on to Kabayel who deserves his shot.

If after the Kabayel fight Usyk wants one more run out, he could rematch Rico, whether that be for the belts again, or for nothing (if Kabayel is victorious).
