Elucidating Those Boggled Of Mind On What Transpired In The Great Usyk-Verhoeven Cataclysm Of 2026.

I know facial damage can be deceptive of what transpired in a fight but look at the state of Rico here

Usyk was badly marked up vs AJ but the big difference here is that he was facing fighters way bigger, heavier and more powerful than him not ones way smaller

And look at the shape he's in too, a super lean 258lbs

I didn't say I didn't want him to do that. I would rather he retired and wanted him to and thought he should of after beating Belly or at the very latest after he beat Dubois in the rematch would would've been as fitting a time as it gets to bow out. But if he is going to continue he needs to fight Kabayel or drop the belt and give Rico a rematch too.

Whilst I want him to give Kabayel his shot and think Kabayel thoroughly deserves his shot, part of me doesn't want to see him fight him now because the chances of him losing to him are significantly higher now because he's declined even more and looked a lot worse than he did even in his last fight, let alone from the much quicker, much more fluid, smooth, agile, sharp and accurate prime version or even the version of 3-4 years ago

My issue is how he's just expected to fight Kabayel in Germany and Rico in Holland, let alone at 40 y/o or very shortly before doing so for the first one of them and I'm not saying I'm opposed to him doing so either I just hate how he's expected to do so like he should have no say in the matter when no other fighter in the sport is doing what he's been doing, has forged a career doing, or is expected to do so even in their primes

I love Kabayel but after a career of fighting in his opponent's backyards on a deck stacked against him or on the road, having won and unified all bar one of his world titles in his opponent's backyards and the other being on the road, they expect Usyk to once again take on a much bigger and younger prime dangerous puncher in their backyard on a deck heavily stacked against him and to do so at 40 years of age (or a couple of months away from turning 40 at worst). Poland shares a border with both Germany and Ukraine and Usyk's only 'home' fight since moving up to the world level was staged over there and he sold twice the amount of tickets there for that fight than Kabayel did in Germany for his ''big sell out fight'' and even though there's a lot of Ukranians living in Germany there's a lot more of them living in Poland and if Kabayel is such a big star in his homeland then surely his fans won't have a problem venturing across the border to Poland in their droves just like Usyk's in Ukraine won't

Again, I'm not opposed to Usyk fighting Kabayel in Germany but I hate how it's just expected of him to keep doing this again and again when he's the champ, he calls the shots, and he's the far bigger star and yes it does greatly increase your chances of losing for a whole host of different reasons

And the fact no one has even mentioned Poland as a location or even asked Usyk where he would prefer the fight is extremely disrespectful

If you keep fighting savage puncher and legit bangers you're going to get knocked out eventually

If you keep fighting giants way bigger than you you're going to come unstuck and get knocked out or lose

If you keep fighting in your opponents in their backyards you're going to lose via hook or crook eventually

If you keep fighting in your mid to late 30s or early 40s against fellow world champions, the highest rated contenders, world class opposition you're going to lose eventually, let alone ones younger or much younger and fresh than you

Well, Usyk isn't only doing all that, and has been doing so for his entire career since moving up to the world level with the giants obviously being since he moved up to HW but he's doing it all simultaneously and has been doing so for ages when no other champion in the sport is doing the same, let alone routinely and there are so many who haven't even done it once and I mean the greatest fighters of this generation

And even if he does it again, win or lose, he won't receive a lick of credit for doing so for millions of fans and fans of all these other fighters and if he were to lose they would crucify him for doing so, act like he's in his prime, and tear his legacy to shreds even though he's 40 y/o and way pay past his prime and did something none of the favs are doing or likely ever will
