Rocky beat Harry Matthews who although lacked Jones power (he did just fine w power against LHWs) was of a similar kind of fighter. RJJ is a lot better than Harry but we are talking styles. RJJ won’t be able to get away for long. Ends within 8 most likely.
You’ve been debunked on this once already but I suppose you didn’t learn anything. Marciano was fighting blind half the fight. That being said it wasn’t just his punch volume that gave fighters problems it was that he never stopped crowding, pushing, and making his opponent work. He didn’t just stand there or avoid like many fighters do to take a break.
La starza 22/26 Archie 38 Walcott 38/39 Charles 32/33 Cockell 26 Layne 23 Matthews 29 Louis 37 Not sure I see an issue here. Like I said youngest opposition of any champ the last 50 years there has been posts on this debunking these statements as if they hold any water

I'd say Roy on points. Roy's speed and reflexes were exceptional, in his prime I'd have seen him as the favorite against any fighter from 160 to 175 pounds. We're beyond light heavyweight here, admittedly, but we saw Jones beat Ruiz at 193 pounds for the world heavyweight title. The Quiet Man was certainly no phenomenon, but in the ring that night, in 2003, he weighed more than 220 pounds. Marciano, in the early 1950s, entered the ring weighing under 190 pounds and never faced a fighter with Roy's characteristics (Styles make fights). I think Rocky would have had a very difficult time hitting Roy, let alone avoiding the punches of Pensacola champion.
Roy's got two problems here. He's not as mobile as his 168 and early 175 lbs self and more importantly, Rocco has punch resistance and is wholly committed to hitting you hard with full body leverage. Roy always had an issue with moving to the ropes, turning his head to avoid shots and tying up - that's not a good habit to employ when Roy's chin is truly untested at that level of punch power and volume. Rocco is one of those fighters, along with Dempsey and Langford whose punching power is significantly greater than their weight on the scales. I believe that eventually Rocco would render him unconscious 6 or 7 times out of 10; Roy outboxes him and sees the final bell, Rocco would look horrible throughout the fight but he will land punches everywhere and it would change Roy's career forever.
This is it. Basically, I don't think anybody disputes RJJ has a large skill edge over Marciano. The same as Marciano has a large edge in durability, power and stamina over Jones. The real question is: would Jones be able to KO Marciano earlyish? Because in my opinion (and this is fairly obvious) if the fight goes long, Jones is going to be in trouble. I guess Seamus will plump for a Jones KO in the first four. And he'd have a good basis for making the pick based on RJJ's attributes. If I were a betting man I'd have lost all my money betting against Rocky, because he beat several guys that I'd have picked over him based on their skill advantage. Marciano has attributes of his own. I'll take Marciano via stoppage in the later rounds, and he'd probably get lumped up in the process.
Funny thing is,if Jones had retired right after Ruiz, then you wouldn't get many picking Marciano. But we know now that his chin was definitely smashable.
Yea let's take all of your favourite fighters performances at 35yo and under see how that works out for you buddy I don't think Marciano beats Tarver either, 190lb 6'3 southpaw with fast hands is more intimating physically than anyone he faced
Based on what? What Jones did in the ring took way more stamina than Marciano did. In what basis is Marciano got more power or a better offense? He wasn't facing bigger men than Jones was facing. And Jones was absolutely destroying men the same size as Marciano. As for Jones needing to finish him off early, based on what? He can win every minute of a 15 rounder easily. He can finish Marciano early too but he doesn't need to. Essentially Jones is faster, more powerful with a higher workrate than Charles, Moore and Walcott and all 3 of them hurt him. Jones would hurt him more often time and again. Marciano would be bleeding everywhere and cut to pieces if he survived the initial onslaught.
I take your job is full time cherry picker. I think it's likely Walcott did get robbed against Louis. We don't know this though as we don't have the full fight footage. And then he got splattered in the rematch. And when Walcott was younger he got beat by limited LHWs like Maxim. And he lost 3 times to LHW Charles and lost to Layne. Is this the hill you're dying on? Now should we look at Charles losses?? Valdes, Layne, Harold Johnson, Walcott all coming into the Marciano fight as a 33yo. And then there's the fact Marciano's manager didn't even trust him to face Valdes or Baker.
