Inside Information On The Hectic Situation Currently Surrounding Usyk & His Team.

I think part of that strategy for Dubios 2 is because he wanted to hurt him too.

 

Before the fight, I saw two interviews with Jakub Chycki from Usyk’s camp in which he claimed that Usyk was in great shape (see below). However, during the fight, Usyk clearly didn’t look light on his feet, defensively mobile, or active offensively, so something must've been off.

 

We saw Fury's footwork all but disappear almost overnight. Now Usyk's seems to have done the same.

Age is undefeated. It takes no prisoners.

 

Alex Krassyuk, even tho he critisized Usyk's performance, claims, per his sources, that the training camp went the way it always went.

That Usyk Fury 2 stare down still makes me laugh my *** off I watch it every couple of months, both of them look borderline psychopathic for 11 minutes lol. Benitez Leonard is the only one that comes close for intensity.

 

Do you think this explains why he choose Dubois rematch over Parker? Not that Parker would beat him but at least Parker is good vs southpaws.

Dubois is utterly clueless defensively and offensively vs southpaws so Usyk seemed super confident.

 

He chose the Dubois rematch because he had a belt, Usyk wanted to shut down all the low blow "controversy" + Dubois had the best run of wins at HW at the time and was seen as number 2.

 

I don't buy it, and if any of this is true then more fool him and shame on Usyk for being a money grabbing *****, I suppose $$$$$$ is more important than legacy to the fraudster.

 

It'll be fascinating to see how Usyk performs against a real boxer next time out, after his lacklustre performance against Rico.

He pulled it out the bag, but I'm not sure if it had been a seasoned boxer he was fighting, he would have. Rico was still charging forward and taking risks even though he was likely ahead on the scorecards. If he'd been more experienced he might never have got in the position for Usyk to KO him late in the fight, and if Rico had given a decent final couple of rounds, he may well have won a decision.

 

Whilst I have been critical of Usyk the past few days, and still don't quite think this absolves him of his performance, hearing this suddenly makes a lot of things over the past year make sense. I wouldn't be surprised if it was this team that egged him to take this joke bout in the first place. Even SRR and Duran in their primes had major negatives from **** teams and hangers on, so a past prime Usyk will also feel it.

I also thought it was strange that the S&C coach wanted Usyk to bulk up so much. Like it's pretty obvious his best weight is around 220 as a HW. Another case of S&C not knowing what they're on about imo. The punch power increase probably offered diminishing returns after 220 whilst affecting his speed and stamina.

 

If that's the case and that's the best possible Usyk then he needs to run to the hills, the L is coming fast.

 

I have wondered how the war in Ukraine plays on Usyk's mind, whether he feels an obligation to his countrymen to fight on out of national pride, and whether those in his team are leveraging this to take advantage of Usyk? It is natural for a fighter's speed, reaction times and output to drop as they age, and for them to have to make stylistic adjustments to compensate for this, but the drop off for Usyk from the Dubois rematch to the Rico fight was dramatic and very worrying. I just hope there is at least one person in Usyk's ear who has his best interests at heart, and will tell him honestly to walk away if Usyk doesn't have it anymore.

 

Usyk was overweight and he was not fit ! He did what Fury did against Ngannou and thought he just had to turn up to win ! Hopefully that’s the kick up the rear end he needs and now he can go into the Kabayel fight and redeem himself ! Usyk arseing about playing mind games with Fury by training Joshua whilst he has his own fight looming was idiotic and not like him at all and certainly not professional either ! Usyk needs to get his head back in the game! I’ve said all along that Kabayel has the style and smarts to give Usyk fits,should Usyk beat him then it’s time to retire having beat the best of the chasing back,should he lose the fight then it’s also time to retire !

 

He does but he seems intent on going on too long and tarnishing what might have been.
