You know what I mean. Foreman misses right before knocking out Roman. https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/mount-rushmore-of-hw-chins.713014/
Not clean, no one could take a clean, fully loaded up punch on the chin from many heavyweights, let alone peak foreman. It’s only that most if the time, a fully loaded up punch won’t land, but if it does, even many nobody’s would be able to knock out the top heavyweights if they got a completely free, loaded up punch. Ali took some big punches from Foreman, but he didn’t stand still and take them flush, he rode those punches and took much of the power off of it.
Finally someone wrote something; thank you. The topic almost left page 1. Those Forman misses look more dangerous than Rahman's punch, which knocked out Lewis.
Those punches were wild but damn he looked scary. I think he was irritated by Roman from some of the pre-fight stuff and really wanted to hurt him.
Coincidentally, Larry Holmes didn't get into the "HW chins" selection, but against my will (see post No.1). Was it Earnie Shavers biggest shot ever, or the one when the glove broke? Kudos to Larry Holmes; the question remains whether he would put up with these Foreman misses. Personally, I'm glad that Foreman missed Roman, because I have the impression that he would have killed him.
McCall could stand still with his hands to his side as Foreman wails away. He would say "ha ha ha your puny punches don't hurt me, mortal"
McCall is a phenom, but if he had been hit by punches that missed Roman, I don't think it would have been funny. More precisely; I am convinced of that.
