Prime Patterson ( whenever you think that may have been),vs Ali post Foreman?
Could prime Floyd trouble older Ali more than people think?

Considering Manila, Patterson's chances are slim. "Manila Ali" would defeat Prime Patterson.

Ali hits too hard. One right hand and Floyd will be seeing stars. Ali stops him late even though Floyd will be competitive.

I have little confidence in Patterson's chin. That said, the slower Ali gets, the better Patterson's chances get. When a fighter who was used to being the fastest slows down and meets somebody faster, horrible things happen.

Ali's toughness and ring savvy combined with Patterson's suspect chin would result in a UD or late stoppage victory for "The Greatest."

Well Floyd was a quick heavyweight and speed would give that version of Ali trouble. I favor Ali but a Patterson SD win wouldn't surprise.

In my opinion Ali would have to stop him or lose a wide UD.

Reading these comments, you'd think Ali was Foreman in terms of power...

My guess - Patterson starts fast and has moments early on.
Ali starts to adapt from the half way point of the fight.Patterson has success in burst's but struggles to keep pressure on.
Ali wins a close but unanimous decision.
This would look a totally different fight from their actual bouts imo,a lot more two sided.

Sounds right,Fergy. 'Manila Ali' wins by come from behind TKO. Post-Manila versions drop close decision.
