Klitschko version Fury: 112kg, fought as the underdog so is in survival mode and mentally focused to not get caught In Usyk 1 he was obese at 118.8kg, arrogant and with a questionable gas tank (and even if it were the same gas tank, extra 6.8 kg). Remember that in their first fight Fury was winning middle rounds by countering Usyk and maintaining range advantage with the jab. IMO the Klitschko version Fury would do the same (as he already did to Klitschko), but better than his fatter, slower, more arrogant version, and not get caught in 9th, and would win a close but convincing UD win. EDIT: I would suggest watching at least rounds 1 of Klitschko fight and Usyk fight to see the difference in Fury's speed and approach before making a decision. Yes, even though you watched both fights already months or years ago.
Fury has plenty of answers for the straight left But Fury fading and his subtle slowing of footspeed left him vulnerable. A fitter younger Fury would not be as vulnerable. Also started to go back in straight lines more under Sugar Hill which is how he teaches Fury. All of Furys lateral movement comes from his older teachings. If Fury didn't get out of shape so badly 12 months prior to the first Usyk fight he probably would have won. He backed off the round following his success against Usyk opting to preserve stamina and Usyk pressed whilst in the pits of hell and managed to regain control in doing so.
No version of Fury has an answer to Usyk's overhand left. He's also made the same stylistic mistakes (e.g. walking back in a straight line with his hands down after throwing sloppy 1-2s) his entire career no matter how fit he was. Usyk decision.
Fury got caught while being cocky from first round on in the first fight, straight lefts and right hooks. I don't see him adapting to Usyk's style, you can see how surprised Fury is getting caught left and right. Usyk has his number, imo.
That fight could be scored a draw even with the KD so I would say Tyson Fury trained by Peter Fury would beat Usyk 7-5
First day and banned: how did it work? Klitschko version Fury has a better chance than Fury (Usyk 1). Fury is full of confidence.
Can't like that OP because of the account name, but there is truth in it. People are deluded if they don't think a late-twenties Fury would not have a good chance of beating Usyk. He already gave him an excellent fight. And the younger version was faster and fitter. The punching power hasn't changed much if at all, he was simply very cautious against Wlad. '2fast' Fury battered and stopped Chisora as a southpaw. He still had decent power. He'd land more and get hit less. Punch resistance was better. Thus he'd have a good shot at getting a decision.
I don't see Fury dealing well with Usyk's pressure from fight 1 at all. Fast Fury was not committing with his punches and had nothing to keep Usyk off of him. The more flat footed version who threw with more mustard gives Usyk a harder fight. Fury couldn't solve the puzzle twice. Usyk is just levels ahead in everything compared to Fury.
As P Fury teaches a unique gypsy bareknuckle style that counteracts the soviets (although the Usyk/papachenko style was never full blown soviet), coupled with more youth & all important footspeed, dusseldorf Fury beats 2024 Usyk. As the poster said, simply watch 3 or 4 rounds of both fights & the difference in Fury’s footwork is gargantuan. Not to say dusseldorf Fury beats prime Usyk - completely different question. The casuals above have missed that point
