Wlad is too one dimensional to beat Usyk.

Usyk gets in, out and around Wlad's jab and never sets himself on the line to get touched by his right hand. Wlad does zero bodywork. A big STIFF idiot fighting in a truly weak era.

I dont understand people bringing up their respective performances against Fury, the fights were almost a decade apart ffs.

 

Usyk. Too tricky and crafty and hits hard enough to break that glass. Is Wlad couldn’t land on Fury, Usyk would be a ghost.

 

Wlad would have easily beaten the Brits if he were five years younger when he faced them. Any version of them.

Additionally, I never even thought Tyson would be able to get in and out without getting tagged let alone Usyk. Wladdy doesn't need bodywork. If Rico can smother Usyk than Wlad can also do that with better skills.

The Wladimir from the Fury fight would have a hard time competing with this version of Usyk, I believe that's where Klitschko looked past his best, mentally, not so much physically he declined and could not pull the trigger.

The more I applaud Klitschko coming out guns blazing for one last hoorah against Joshua, tremendous fight. He put it all on the line there.

I've got Wlad higher than Usyk and think Wlad would beat Usyk...not comfortably but clearly. Maybe stop him late. He was super efficient, hit very hard and was very defensively prudent. If its 39 year old v 39 year old and we are talking about the Rico Usyk, Wlad sparks him...unpopular view maybe but hey, you asked

 

One guy was utterly humiliated by greedy belly and was forced to watch the greedy belly sing to his wife which was essentially a humiliation ritual, the other almost killed the greedy belly and mauled him around the ring.

 

Fought at different times in their careers, that was a younger, fitter much more elusive fast twitch Fury v the older less fit more flat footed one...and A beats B, B beats C rarely means A beats C. Styles make fights. I rate Usyk very highly H2H by the way but I think Wlad would have his number...

 

Size and power ages better, but Usyk still has great whiskers and put up amazing performance against Dubois not so long ago.
