Bivol is scared of Beterbiev and won't give him the trilogy.

I don't believe Bivol actually had a surgery. He probably made it up in order not to make the 3rd fight with Beterbiev.

What about the Picasso or MJ fight? Those guys were clearly inferior but he didn’t press the action enough. I love me some Inoue but I think as these guys age their fights become more conservative

Well Bivol doesn’t hit even nearly as hard as Beterbiev. If Bivol had Beterbievs power most of his opponents wouldn’t make it 12z

He's so scared of him, he fought and beat him twice! A little advice, think before you type sometimes.:D

Has Bivol fought already? Another UD points stinker doesn’t surprise me, an utterly boring fighter. I refuse to watch fencers anymore.

Compared to this fight Inoue still looked more exciting to watch even against MJ and Picasso. At least there were glimpses of some toe to toe action and Inoue unleashing some vicious combinations.

I understand that Bivol has a different mind set and prefers to fight more conservatively but against someone like Eifert he could have easily pressed the gas more and possibly forced a stoppage.

It's a good job he doesn't. Then you'd have a unique situation where a fighter was so overpowered that he was practically impossible to hit at mid range, and almost impossible to survive being hit by. No one would fight him.

I don't actually find Bivol boring to watch he has an aesthetically pleasing style, doesn't run like a petrified hen and hold like a lonely octopus, and he usually throws a lot of shots, and isn't a weight bully. I lose interest easily during fights these days and start doing other things but that doesn't happen with Bivol. But he could get more of these guys out of there if he really wanted though

Bivol is definitely someone that is an acquired taste. A boxer for the connoisseurs. Good stylist and incredibly skilled but he’s just not that exciting to watch unless he’s with the right opponents. Similar to that of guys like Shakur, Haney, Rigondeaux, Ward.

I’d rather watch Dave Allen vs some pudding out the boozer in a 4 rounder than any Bivol fight.

Honestly Bivols boxing is like art. It’s like watching Floyd or Loma just beautiful pure boxing with efficient his movements are.

Both fights where most people thought he won the first time and managed to win the second time. If he was battered he would have lost both times by knockout,

I wasn't that impressed with Bivol. He seems to have lost some bounce in his feet but his hand speed and punch selection were excellent.

Not sure if it was rust or if he has lost a step.

A Benavidez fight will probably reveal all.....based on this performance, I edge Benavidez

A Beterbiev rematch will reveal any cracks if his foot speed is really missing because he won't be able to pivot and get out of range fast enough against someone like Beterbiev who is very creative with his offence.

A side note - Barry Jones and Adam Smith were practically fellating Bivol in their commentary and were OTT in their assessment. Remember, Eifert was levels below Lyndon Arthur and Bivol still fought cautious against someone with terrible balance and punching form.
