I certainly don't, all he was doing as righting a wrong. Now move on!

He lost the championship rounds in the first fight, you can't be robbed if you fade in the championship rounds unless you were up 8-1 or something. And he certainly wasn't

ok, fair enough. You are a good scorer. I need to score this myself. I did not see Bivol as 8-1 up because Beterbiev was doing a lot of good subtle things as the agressor and while i respect boxing on the backfoot, i do tend to favour the guy pushing the action. 8-1 is very very wide for Bivol and i need to go rewatch this.

So you had it 8-1 Bivol at one point, despite Bivol being caught with heavy leather and backing up very frequently between 4-6?

    Hmmm, interesting.

I had it 7-5 for Bivol in the rematch BTW.

Yes, and I stand by my score, I've seen the match 4 times. Beterbiev did no real damage between 4-6, mostly landed to the forearms of Bivol, which were not scoring shots. While the clean punches were mostly landed by Bivol. The rest of you, feel free to give it a rewatch, but remember, parried and blocked shots do not count!

Bivol should’ve won both of those fights IMO, and he’s not exactly young himself, and beating Beterbiev again would do nothing for him. The only fight he needs now to secure his legacy is the Benavidez fight, and he needs it as soon as possible.

Bivol against Eifert, he still looked sharp on the counter, quick hands and great punch selection and brilliant IQ in how he sets things up, but I couldn’t help but notice his feet didn’t look as light and he generally looked more flat footed, maybe that’s due to him not long coming off of back surgery, and you kind of subconsciously use your lower back to an extent when you’re moving, but it could also simply be due to him being 35, who knows.

Remember, Bivol is a fighter who relies on his feet and movement, and since he is aging, he needs that Benavidez fight ASAP, and he’s already settled the Beterbiev rivalry IMO.

Artur would use his famous rabbit punch technique to secure victory

    Outboxing him twice?

If Bivol “ran” he sure found a way to run combinations off of Beterbiev’s head in the process.

And they gave us two of the best boxing fights of all time, imo.

A lot of people thought Beterbiev won the first fight. It could have gone either way, no corruption needed. Bivol won the second clearer than Artur won the first, tho.

I disagree, I’ve watched that first fight multiple times and I don’t think there’s any way to give it to Beterbiev other than by using bull**** scoring criteria like ‘he won the championship rounds’ or ‘he was the one coming forward’ or by scoring punches that landed on the gloves and arms.

Well it's your opinion. The thing is - a lot of people thought Beterbiev deserved to win and he did win on the cards. Case closed.
