(Unpopular opinion) OShaquie Foster beats Shakur

Shakur has gone 3 fights in a row on the front foot, looking great in all three. I’m not seeing the issue.

 

How did you score the fight? I don't think Foster won the fight until the championship rounds, and that was more down to Ford's bad stamina. I had it pretty even after 8. It wasn't a clinic like Shakur vs Teo. Ford was doing pretty well in the first half of the fight, and I don't think Ford is that good; definitely not on Shakur's level, anyway.

Ford is too inactive as the fight goes on, and never has a plan B. He's a top 10 guy at 130, but he's not on the level of Navarrete. I think Navarrete beats Foster. I also think if Bronco Lara turned up motivated with a proper camp, he could be a nightmare for Foster, too. Foster being the best name at 130 is still up for debate, whereas Shakur doesn't lose to anyone between 130 and 147 in his current form; he's exceptional. His distance control, fight IQ, defense, and footwork are P4P top 5 level, arguably top 3.

Not only is Foster too small, but he's not skilled enough to even be competitive against Shakur. I think it is a complete mismatch. I like Foster as a fighter, and I put Shakur on to go to sleep, but based on the eye test, I don't see how Foster beats him, or does anything remotely good enough to make it competitive.

 

Foster wouldn't beat Sir Jackson England who will win a world title very soon. Remember the name this kids going global and soon to be knighted. He'll fight Shakur Stevenson. That's where the real fight is at.

 

I don't think so. I don't like Shakur at all I think he is boring and has a negative style but he has mastered it and is excellent at judging distance. It is going to take a big puncher to beat Shakur in my opinion.

People keeping going on about what a smart fighter Foster is but chucking your opponent out the ring could easily get you one if not two points deducted, so he’s hardly Einstein is he?

 

Honestly Shakur would make Foster look pretty ordinary.

Foster really doesn't have much of a shot if we're being honest. Fair play to him beating Ford but Shakur is a different level fighter for him to handle.

 

To be fair, Hopkins and Ward doing egregious **** is called “high level IQ” and they did it with more obvious intention and more often than Foster…

FFS I remember an interview where B-Hop is asked how to beat a fighter like Pacquiao, and he says with a big grin on his face “you hit him in the hips to take his legs away!”

 

To small, will be slower, and pack little power.

Not a chance he beats Stevenson.
