Usyk has lost 32 of his last 85 rounds.

In said 85 rounds at least one judge scored it for his opponent in over 50 of them.

Marciano losing 23 of his last 86

Patterson lost about 15/75 rounds during his title run and lost about 58/156 of his rounds in major bouts(12 rounds plus).

Holmes lost about 39/207 during his title reign. 57/237 if we add the Spinks fights. 57/249 counting Shavers I.

Fellow cruiser Holyfield lost 10/34 of his title rounds before Bowe, 19/46 counting the Bowe loss. 62/136 including all his title fights in the 90s and Bowe III.

Old Foreman lost 20/46 of the rounds in his title reign before the Briggs loss 28/58 after. 35/70 counting Holy

Fellow cruiser Haye lost 16/41 in his title fights+Chisora. 10 of these were in the Wlad loss.
Fury lost about 34/120 of his title rounds including the Usyk fights.

Usyk is not a dominant champion and has performed the worst of any tenured HW champion except John Ruiz or Chris Byrd if they count. Or James Jeffries if we're going that far back. Ali was losing the same amount of rounds at one point in the 70s but that was the 70s and it was a small part of a dominant body of work where he beat more than 30 individual elite HWs. Usyk doesn't have that body of work neither do the people he's beating.

The 32 rounds is giving Dubois the foul round he did not get in the first fight and giving Usyk 6 of 11 against Rico like he won officially.

When I say a fighter won this many rounds I typically mean 2 judges scored for them or 2 judges scored that many for them.

 

But it hasn't happened for other champions as consistently.

Usyks the one who insists on only fighting British people. If he didn't want to deal with the British no one's forcing him. British HWs have historically done abysmal in their title fights. That changed pretty drastically in this era.

"asinine metric"

This isn't some nerdy sabermetrics. Rounds are the score that decides who wins and loses. It's like saying points in basketball or runs in baseball are stupid and don't matter. If a fighter isn't a big puncher that statistic will dictate their whole career. Losing a lot of rounds means a fighter is close to losing and the margin of error is small.

 

I was going for the champs who lost lots of rounds and those guys didn't. But I can try and cobble something together.

For Louis I got 65/264 in title fights/15 round non title fights.
For Lennox I got 34/122 in title fights.
For Wlad I got 34/243 in title fights.

For Louis I went with the neutral card and if that wasn't available boxrecs fanscores.
