Wladimir Klitschko’s best win: Alexander povetkin, David Haye, and Chris Byrd

Based solely on the standing of the opponent at the time of the fight, disregarding the style or entertainment of the fight, it is Povetkin, imo.

 

Also the one sided nature of it.

 

This is why I don't rate Wlad as highly as some on here. A long reign, yes, but against generally poor opposition (when these three, good fighters as they were, are vying for Best win).

I might have broadened the scope of it a little, though – Something along the lines of...

"…without regard to the stylistic or entertainment value of the bout; the extent to which acts amounting to gross misconduct were employed in lieu of boxing; or the number and cumulative effect of apparent grounds for disqualification arising in the course thereof."

 

You can say the same thing about Louis' and Holmes' reigns. It's quantity over quality with all 3 of them. And Byrd, Povetkin or Chagaev (I would put him over Haye, historically speaking at HW) aren't much worse than their tops scalps.

And Wlad did it in EMPHATIC fashion. Wlad put a savage beating on Byrd.

 

Povetkin in my opinion was the best win, I firmly believe that if the Klitschkos had not been around he'd have been the King of his era.
