This. As much as I'd like to imagine Wlad unexpectedly knocking out some young lion, in actual fact he'd probably get beaten to a pulp.

 

Wlad had a great career,why oh why even contemplate thinking of making a return to Boxing !

 

Even a fifty year old current Wlad would be one of fury's top three wins. That is if he wins.

 

I've always been a fan of both Klitschko brothers and devoted a lot of my life to defending them from haters who belittled their achievements, but I can't imagine what other reason the now 50-year-old Wladimir would have to return to the ring other than to shore up his finances with millions from Saudi Arabia.
I don't know if his business ventures fizzled out and he poured his money into the wrong places, but he seemed to be a financially sound and smart guy.
You shouldn't look into someone's wallet, but in the case of an athlete who suddenly returns after so many years, we, as fans, have the right to ask questions.
What on earth is Wladimir counting on if not a paycheck, and what the hell does he need it for? I realize you can never have too much money, but boxing is no joke, and if you have money at a truly high level, the game is even less worth it.

Someone will write about Foreman's record. Have mercy. The heavyweight division really isn't that weak these days. If they didn't prepare some kind of setup, Klitschko would be outmatched by guys like Dubois, Kabayel, and others his age.

Simple logic will suffice here. Wlad looked really great in his last fight, but he was over 40. Today, even if he lives a healthy lifestyle and stays fit, he won't be at the same level as he was almost 10 years ago. It might be 75% of what it was back then, at best. That's not enough to conquer boxing. Someone will say he looks great. No. He looks great for his age, but at the same time, the passage of time and his body have "wasted away." There's no way, even if he takes the best care of himself, he'll be able to return to the level he had in the AJ fight, where, after all, he was a good few years past his prime.

Don't be foolish. If he's wasted his money and has nothing to live on... But that's unrealistic. And if he's dreaming of millions more, he better think things through. He was in a relationship with Holyfield, who also looked physically solid before his last fight, and it turned out... Shameful...

There was a time when Wlad could have, and even should have, come back and finished his career in better style. It was after the AJ fight, where he could have been number two. They could have tried for Wilder or Parker then, and he probably would have won in style, saying goodbye. But not now, when the guy could be entertaining his grandchildren...

 

This would be a good fight at this point NGL

 

Maybe while are on it we get Wlad vs Usyk the battle for Ukraine‘s all time best

 

I'm a huge Klitschko fan and I would like to see him break the all-time age record by BHOP. If he has been training (which I imagine he has) then he can probably do it. I think DuBois could possibly be a good target since he has been in some wars and IMO isn't a great boxer.

 

Nahh, Dubois would chin a 50 year old Wlad, I don't want to see that. Would be sad. Wlad would have problems with him even around his prime, like he did with Peter the first time around, let alone now.

 

as much as Fury ran from the rematch I don't think he believes for sure.

 

I genuinely think fighters over 40 stumbling around and punching each other is solid entertainment (see Chisora/Wilder). Much better than them fighting young lions who can really hurt and create a sad spectacle. Wlad vs. Chisora, Wilder, Ortiz etc. would be a laugh. Create some 'Emeritus' title for it while you're at it

 

That's about as likely to happen as Wlad vs Vitali. Now if you put together a card of Usyk and Wlad vs two Russian fighters, you might have something.
