Well i saw benavidez calling out canelo, which is ridiculous, as there is a 0 percent chance of that happening (at what weight? Why all of a sudden after canelo denying the Match when he was younger and benavidez less experienced, using ridiculous reasons even back then). When asked about bivol he didn't engage, he only said passively he was ready to Fight anyone...

I enjoy both. If bivol is really not better than he was in his recent fight, he will have trouble against benavidez. The bivol from the beterbiev fights wins clearly in my opinion.

But benavidez didn't sound like he was doing everything to get the bivol fight. He seems to have other ideas, and since he is the bigger draw i would assume the ball is in his court

 

You must have also seen Benavidez say Bivol was number 1 on his hit list. He already offered him 8 million and was turned down. What else can he do if Bivol does not want to fight him? You understand that Bivol has to want the fight? that is the first step but everyone is giving him the pass..

I get what you're saying, but counter-arguement:

It's 2026 and two boxers not getting paid for fighting in a country at war for multiple years, probably wouldn't break the top one hundred on the weird **** o-meter.

 

Why would he pay them 40 million? Do you think it would be remotely profitable?

This whole idea that Beterbeiv should get the 3rd fight because he deserves it? Since when is boxing about everyone getting what they deserve? He got 2 fights already, so the idea of holding up the division for YEARS for a trilogy that should have happened 6 years ago is laughable.

If anyone deserves anything it's Bivol fighting the number 2 fighter in the division after all this time, rather than chasing a 42 year old who has been inactive for 18 months. Beterbiev is no longer even ranked in the ring top 10.
