Nope, it was Shalom who put the fight together, but Bakole rejected the offer... Again. He declined to fight a lot of guys to this point.

It was Turki/Ring that set that fight up. There’s an interview with Bakole where he’s ranting saying he wanted the fight but Shalom/Boxxer blocked it because he’s still under contract with them and they didn’t want him on another network. Seems clear Bakole wanted the fight. Shalom is getting a rep for blocking fights.

Shalom said in the interview that he put the offer on the table but Bakole wasn't ready to fight. Not for the first time at that.

It must be horrendous to go through life obsessing over a guy who doesn’t even know you exist. There’s a few of you on this site who have to bring him into every single thread. It’s so sad.

Lol I get it I get it yea Bakole would be a big test for Torrez but my take is he was KOed by Sanchez, thats out the way. Now re group and resume. Its a hypothetical but an interesting matchup to me, one I would take Bakole. But highly likely never happen

Yeah, it’s kind of sad, because I think Torrez Jr. just seems like a good guy…

…but I see his loss more as his level getting found rather than a case of too tough a test too soon or something.

…and we’re talking about Bakole - himself a fringe contender at best.

Bakole expects an easy way to fight for the title by avoiding opponents, I don't see him as a dangerous fighter, Vianello would stop him...

    That's why he ducked him.

Curious that anything that could be perceived as a detraction of a certain fighter brings out a horde of fanboys who will plead that he be left alone. I remember well that thread a year ago where people were praising a certain fighter for walking into the fire to take on the boogyeman Bakole. It didn't happen.

When you bring it up and point to a history of risk aversion and calculation in a thread ABOUT a the guy who was swerved, the fans of a certain fighter get emotional. It's the same troop of 5-7 folks.

Good luck with that. Torrez has a glass jaw and any decent HW will lay him out cold, just like he was against Sanchez and just like he was in this amateur fight:

If Torrez takes this fight, look for him to be sleeping on the canvas yet again.

The only emotional person in here is you, who just can't stop talking about AJ even in the threads that don't mention him. It's ok. Maybe he will acknowledge you some day and will give you his biggest fanboy award.

People can criticize pro boxers on a boxing forum, even if said boxer happens to be your favorite. It's sad to get all huffy every time someone makes a post about your personal hero.

I mean, the thread is about how Bakole is looking for a scrap. Him vs AJ would be interesting enough to sell (even if I think Bakole gets knocked out in 4 rounds or so)
