I counted 50 lost rounds for Mayweather in his whole career but it may be incorrect will have to go back and check.

It's amazing the work people will go through to dispute Usyk's greatness. He didn't **** a girl and knock out tomato cans, so apparently people don't think he's great.

True but at the same time against Rico the judges were a bit generous to him for once.

    Here's the most important statistic

    Usyk hasn't lost a fight since 2009

And even more impressive he was clearly robbed in both his last 2 amateur losses so it should be since 2008

And I'm sceptical re. the 3rd from last loss he suffered because that was in to Zhang Xiaoping prior to the Olympics and I watched those Olympics which were in Beijing and the fix was clearly in for Zhang to win gold because he should've lost 3 of his bouts in those games.

So it could really be since 2007

And since then he has become

    Olympic gold medalist
    World Amateur gold medalist
    Undisputed CW champion
    Undisputed HW champion x 2
    P4P#1
2 x Fighter of the Year
The oldest undisputed HW champion ever
The 3rd oldest unified HW champion ever
The 4th oldest HW champ ever
The 2nd oldest P4P king ever

All in his opponent's backyards or on the road all via the application of pure skill and clean boxing with zero deck-stacking and w/o being dropped by a head shot in all that time, in 17 years and it should be 18 and whilst running a murderer's row of savage punchers and legit bangers and giants and savage punching giants and obviously during his reign at HW in his mid to late 30s when already past his prime, late as in like almost 40 y/o

And he also won the WSB and WBSS, too

And I firmly believe he would've and should've won 2 Olympic golds and 2 World Amateur gold because 2 of the last 3 losses he suffered in the amateurs, as said both of which robberies, were in those tournaments to the silver and gold medalists and one of them beat The Dosser in the next round who Usyk would've toyed with and I believe Usyk beats the guy who beat them in the final too.

Usyk also avenged that robbery loss in the next Olympics

And the other guy who he was robbed vs went onto win gold

How many of the others mentioned in this thread can we say all that about? None because it's completely unheard of and they were either knocked out in the amateurs, knocked out in the pros or done so numerous or many times, knocked out in both the amateurs and pros, lost, or lost many times, or were badly hurt and dropped many times, including some by much smaller fighters or Frankenstein's monsters bums long before they were Usyk's age

And many of them were huge HWs or big for their eras generally fighting smaller men or ones roughly their size

    Undefeated since 2009

    Thank you for you time

I'm not discrediting Ali but OP's claim that he beat "30 individual elite heavyweights" shows that there is no objectivity here. Also, his claim that Usyk is arguably the worst heavyweight champion since Jim Jeffries is actually hillarious.

At a certain point age is an excuse for losing. Plenty of guys would be favored over 40 something versions of most greats

And people are understandably nostalgic for the days when guys had decent resumes and it wasn't acceptable to beat 3 or 4 ranked opponents and call it a career

So Wlad losing to Fury doesn't matter despite recently signing a 5 fight TV deal, losing to an AJ who'd never been past 7 rounds doesn't matter. Because he was in his late 30's or early 40's.

But Wlad losing to Puritty, Sanders and Brewster also doesn't matter, because he was only in his 20's and hadn't had a few years with Steward yet.

No one is actually nostalgic for the days of Wlad jumping on Povetkin's back for 12 rounds. And whatever people say about Rico, he is leagues ahead of Wlad's lesser defences, especially in a one off match. It is simply the tendency in boxing to criticise whatever is current, plus hating on Usyk specifically because he makes peoples favourite boxer look bad.

There are two Usyks at this point,Usyk the great who went Undisputed at Cruiserweight and Heavyweight and the other Usyk post Heavyweight Undisputed. I honestly thought when Usyk turned pro he was different to the rest and all about legacy and he was until becoming Undisputed Heavyweight, current Usyk is not the same,he’s just like the rest money money money ! It could well be down to his new Team like mentioned in a few other threads but ultimately it’s his decision .

Interesting but doesn’t take in to account quality. Usyk has fought six fights versus the three best heavies. He is an all time great and we are lucky he has taken on everyone even twice.

Plenty of greats have lost to terrible opponents at that age, it's generally what happens if you continue fighting at that age rather than retiring or cherry picking safe opponents.

Usyk is rightly being criticized for fighting Rico in the first place. Wlads crappy opponents were largely mandos he had to face or risk being stripped. Obviously that's not the case here as Rico hadn't fought as a pro in 10 years.

And losing to Usyk if anything has enhanced the reputations of Joshua and Fury. The fact that he fought them and they were somewhat competitive is already being argued as a positive aspect of their legacies

Fignters do not age uniformly. Wlad was champion, a big favourite in the Fury fight and clearly did not feel in significant decline, hence the 5 fight extension he signed pre-Fury. He also wasn't addicted to fighting for its own sake, like say Holyfield. If you get in the ring and are schooled or stopped as champion then it does diminish you. You are attempting to attribute a prime to Wlad he never had, and discredit the wins of fighters who could have beaten him at any age. If he didn't think he was good enough he would have avoided those fights, as he did when he had the chance to rematch Joshua.

Opponents like Pianeta, Mormeck and Leapai did not have to be fought. K2 also had power to influence who their mandatories would be. They sometimes fought far worse opponents than they could have.

Losing to Usyk twice has not improved the reputations of Fury or Joshua lmao. Being clearly beaten twice never helps you. If Fury had retired undefeated after beating Whyte he'd have a higher standing now. Andre Ward would not have benefitted (except financially) from going on to lose to Beterbiev twice either. Hearn no doubt wishes they had swerved Usyk, gone straight to Fury, and hoped Usyk slipped up somewhere else.

I'm not objective because I claimed Muhammad Ali beat 30 individual elite heavyweights?

Yes, that is one good reason. Ali does not have 30 individual elite heavyweights as victims on his record.
