Complaining about Zuffa taking over pro boxing is like complaining about the clean up of the Lincoln Memorial Reflective Pool.

Turki delivered those fights, not Zuffa. Zuffa didn't even exist when Fury fought Usyk and Beterbiev fought Bivol.

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

We’re gonna have to hear about how he’s a GOAT with Teo being the only great win he ever had now.

The one I found most amusing is Uysk Vs AJ

Although I think you’re right that it was Turki, actually Turki is the reason that these big signings is at thing (through Zuffa) , Zuffa boxing have been a thing for a longer time than they have been “official”.

Yes, Zuffa was Dana's boxing idea before he was allowed to use somebody else's money

I will say I was thinking this. From a skill point of view, he’s their #1 p4p, and will remain so unless somehow they sign Inoue (which they won’t). But from a profit point of view? Shakur has zero appeal to casuals.

I understood when they tried to sign Bam early on. He makes perfect sense. His actual fighting is highly marketable, even if he himself isn’t; you get a casual to watch him, they’ll want to see more. There’s more to work with there. Plus simply being Mexican-American helps, as Mexicans in Mexico absolutely follow and watch Mexican-Americans.

I'm curious what it is that Zuffa is offering which made Shakur convinced to sign with them. I would have thought that he would be those people who would be against Dana White and Zuffa.

eh, there was plenty of legacy and interesting things going on with the standard sanctioning bodies and belts. The Reflective Pool has been in **** condition and of no interest forever

Yeah agreed, even Mayweather was a hard sell for the casuals, but the whole "Money Mayweather" persona would sell tickets and get people watching him. Shakur is the basically the opposite of entertainment, and outside the ring he is also extremely unlikeable, such as calling Sugar Ray Robinson a bum, no idea why Zuffa have spent big on him. They're going to bleed an eye-watering amount of money before he probably goes on a Twitter rant and leaves them.

I do want to say, though, that for a more serious boxing fan, Shakur is a must watch. I don’t know how you can ignore someone of his talent, or not watch and appreciate the skill on display.

Zuffa paid for the fights to happen. Thats how awesome Zuffa is. They were making boxing great again before they even had their own belts. Boss ****.

Can't wait for the documentary on Zuffa that comes out in 18 years that starts with 1 Timothy 6:10 slowly appearing on screen.
