You are clearly delusional thinking the opposite. Joshua doesn't even have impressive one shot KO's.

You're upset that I've said Joshua is simply an above average puncher, and that he's a level below the elite punchers of the division. Why is that?

 

I'm not upset, I just disagree with you. Your opinion that "no one agrees that Joshua has elite power" is wildly out of touch.

 

He's a notch below the rest of those mentioned, especially Wilder, Vlad, Zhang.

The framing of the question is key here. Joshua could be 5th in that group but still very close to 4th, who is very close to 3rd etc., and all of them still being in the elite power bracket. Also, are we talking about who has the biggest single punch? Or the best overall power in terms of both hands and different punches? The order will vary based on the metric.

If you had asked "Is Joshua not in the same league in terms of punching power as the others?", you'd get general disagreement. I don't think any are significantly bigger overall punchers, let alone all four.

You can try to determine how far below the other 4 he is if you're interested. Nonetheless, he's below.

 

Even if he is 5th (which is very questionable) in a group of elite punchers he is still an elite puncher. AJ has the power to hurt or stop anyone in the division if he lands clean. If Joyce had fought him in the pros he would have had to be wary or he gets KO'd.

 

He couldn’t catch Franklin clean. Ituama is so fast he was able to. Pretty simple explanation there. Ituama is the ONLY one to have had such an easy time with Franklin.

Rico, but enough time has passed that you could argue Rico was not fighting the same Usyk that AJ did.

 

Its wasn't an ATG showing, but it was a massive improvement from the first fight. His tactics and technique were on another level that night, relatively speaking of course.
IMO, that's the best that Joshua has ever looked in the ring. He wasn't the plodding bodybuilder everyone labeled him as, not on that night.

But he still lost, because Usyk was still too good for him, and that's why its not an ATG showing, as you put it.

 

Check the thread. Almost everyone has him 5th. He's not as big a puncher as the others. He's still an above average puncher, just a notch below the true hitters of the past 10 or so years. I'm not interested in arguing for the sake of arguing.

Your question was flawed. It doesnt matter if he is the 3rd, 4th or 5th biggest puncher in a group of the biggest punchers of the last 20+ years, he has elite power regardless.

 

Wardley, another above average puncher would also be 5th in that thread. I wouldn't consider Wardley an elite puncher of the last 10 or so years. He's good, he's above average, but he's not on that next level. Same story with Joshua.

 

Fury or Usyk would also finish 5th on that thread, but with zero debate. If Joshua has less power than 4th it is marginal.
