I reckon PBC are attempting to 'play' the local promoters No Limit with some of these matchups. The Americans will be favoured to win all of them - at least in terms of betting odds (although I suspect the odds for King Timmy v Errol Bungeye will shift significantly between now & first bell). I wouldn't be surprised if Tim ends up going to the starting gate as favourite in that one. Travelling to the other side of the world, fighting & winning ain't easy so it should be a good afternoon's entertainment. Three very competitively matched fights.

 

I got off the phone with Tzyu before. He said its the best prep for a fight he's had in years.

 

Do you know if Callum Peters v Charlo is under serious discussion? I would really love to see this fight.

 

No inside info, MP. I think logically the fight is in play b/c Peters genuinely doesn't care who is in the other corner. If he gets offered it, the answer will be 'yes'. In some respects it would be foolish for him to take the fight with such little professional experience under his belt, but if Charlo is matched with anyone else it will be an anti-climax. Peters will take him out into deep water & drown him in Botany Bay.

 

I actually think that Peter's will beat this version of Charlo. I don't think it is foolish to be honest as opportunities like this are very rare and if he loses so what? It's against a former world champion and would be a valuable experience either way.
