Why does everyone hate Jared Anderson?

I didn't think anyone hated him.
He is a talented young HW
When a fighter loses, once fans suddenly tend to turn and use hindsight

I am no expert but find the matchmaking very different with UK and USA HW prospects
Sometimes one way works better for some than others

After a few rebuilding fights he could possibly be in the top 10 again and build up against some selected contenders before moving on

 

Does anyone actually care enough about him to actually hate him?

He was an American media hype-job. When the Americans don't have the best heavyweight in the world (or any of them), they like to pretend that they've got 'the next big thing'. Like they did with Michael Grant. Turns out, they didn't.

 

So why hate the boxer over what the "media" says?

No one actually hates him. They just like seeing the pompous twats in the American boxing media proven wrong. If he comes back out of the wilderness, posts some decent wins & gets back into title contention, people will respect it.
