Gervonta Davis vs Floyd Schofield

Here's hoping it actually happens. Tank has been a huge disappointment but he'll earn respect if he ends up facing Schofield.

 

He's certainly a terrific and gifted fighter but his career has been underwhelming. I’m not discounting his achievement and top wins but the issues that people have had with him over the years are valid. The way he’s conducted himself outside the ring that’s led him to having his career stalled, not giving fans the fights that they’ve been asking for by facing the very best (Loma, Teo, Shakur, Haney), his inactivity, picking and choosing fighters from weight classes below, refusal to rematch the fighters who gave him his hardest fights (Cruz, Roach), and disinterest in making legacy defining fights that can propel his greatness due to his fear of losing. There’s just been too many negative qualities around him that’s made his career a frustrating one.

Saying that though I’m not doubting his chance on bouncing back and perhaps turning things around. His career has been stagnant but fighting Schofield would be a good start in redeeming himself.

 

Decent fight between prospects.

 

Things are heating up..on the Schofield scale.

 

Tank is hardly above prospect status. He ducked Loma for like 9 years, ducked Haney, Shakur, and Teo. Only fought RyGa w a catchweight AND rehydration clause. He avoided the rematch w Pitbull and lost to Roach and avoided that rematch also.

He is a very typical PBC product.

Tank has multiple legal cases now, where he is facing years behind bars, not sure how he's gonna fight.
