who do you think had more natural talent?

I say Douglas. Faster feet, faster hands, much better combinations, better jab. Bowe was a better in fighter and perhaps stronger and harder hitting but Douglas, to me, had greater natural ability.

Bowe - the first "modern super heavyweight".

Agree 100% I've always maintained that Buster had the ability to hold the HW title for a few years if he was dedicated and trained hard consistently. The talent was there!

Bowe had more potential, but he was a chronic underachiever.

Douglas is the opposite: he had potential, no doubt, but was actually an overachiever for one sole night in Tokyo.

although I've always said that Bowe was the best heayweight of the 90s, on the night Buster dethroned Tyson, he was the best heavy weight I've ever seen before or since. Smartest and most versatile

Bowe was more "naturally gifted"- whatever in TF that means- and he also worked harder and applied his gifts better. And it isn't even close. Bowe had a very short peak to his career. maybe 2-3 years. Douglas had a one single freaking fight that was the peak of his career. ONE fight.

It depends how you look at it. If by talent you mean skills then it's Buster. If by talent you mean physical traits then it's Bowe.

Buster was a more talented round winner, Bowe was better at knocking people out and not being knocked out.
