I don’t think Donaire was higher pfp. Fulton was, but come on, the guy has no power and was only fringe pfp for having good fights w Fig, who also is pretty limited. Fulton is no better than Smoke Gainer and probably worse than Junior Jones. He’d be a totally forgettable Hamed opponent.

Not even sure that Bruce Carrington is the number 1 in the United States at 126 lbs, there is Brandon Figueroa, Angelo Leo, Stephen Fulton, Ra'eese Aleem, Omar Trinidad and Albert Gonzalez... (if I don't count also the very good and always robbed Joet Gonzalez).

How you can want a undisputed boxer like Inoue but you are not the #1 in your own country of your category ???

Still can’t seem to stop talking about Inoue. Instead of constantly calling out and waiting on the smaller fighter to move up he should actually focus on fighting guys his own size. He needs to set his eyes on Espinoza, Figueroa, Leo. Anyone that's in his weight class.

    Stinks of "American Arrogance".

Heavyweight is the "Money division" right? Always has been.

Deontay Wilder was manufactured by the WBC in the United States into this "Hardest hitting Heavyweight of all time" myth....And his purses were dwarfed compared to Anthony Joshua.

America doesn't do well with Global sports, because they always need to be seen as the "Best" at everything they do, which is why they don't really compete with other popular Global sports, preferring to play only their own, NFL, Baseball etc. You see it even within these sports themselves, that they don't believe in the concept of Relegation/Promotion, which is why the rest of the World doesn't buy into American Sports.

Once the popularity of Boxing exploded Globally, less American viewership is on the Sport because, simply put, they can't handle losing and the consequences of it.

There's a huge difference between the US and the UK for example, the UK is far more of a "Sporting nation". If you have an American team competing, 99% of America want that team to win. If you have a British team competing, 99% of Britons want that team to lose....The only people who want that team to win, are fans of that team themselves.

Even if they do, they have 350 million people and are the richest country on earth with a vast infrastructure for boxing from the past. They also have cuban and mexican and puerto rican boxing culture fuel their boxing lineup.

England has what? 60 million? And their investment in boxing since the olympics really payed off, I guess.

I think the us should be really dominant, but it isn't. And it's sad, because the potential is dedinitely there, if people didn't opt for nfl, nhl, nba, mlb etc

Btw that's not even mentioning, that because of economic power it is way easier for americans than say for eastern europeans to get a title shot. Obviously same for england, but still.

I said he's got a following and he seems to. At the very least, he got a good reception on the undercard of Shakur vs Teo. I think the #1 p4p guy vs a local guy probably would draw reasonably well at the Garden if marketed properly.

    Plus...

It's. Inoue. In. The. Mother****ing. Garden.

From a purely historical perspective I think that would be cool as hell.

No one knows who Poo poo is outside of America either though. Americans are often delusional, they think the whole world is the US

American exceptionalism at its finest. The elephant in the room here is that Carrington is nowhere near the standard to even be in the conversation to fight Inoue. He has a belt, but he's a B-rate fighter who should have a loss to Segawa on his record, and he's far too easy to hit, even for C-grade fighters. Inoue eviscerates him, and I think the Figueroa that beat Ball would, too, and Espinoza flatlines him.

It's frustrating that we haven't even gotten a unification bout at Featherweight in a long time and there doesn't seem to be any talks of it right now. Some of these Featherweight title holders are more focused on waiting on Inoue to move up in hopes of getting that payday but these guys need to EARN it by facing each other. Stop waiting on the smaller fighter to move up and actually fight the best around your weight class.

Lol, Inoue probably bank 30 million + in his last fight. Not sure he needs anything in America. He is locked in for hall of fame.

This is Carrignton begging to get paid.

If I’m Inoue, I would never fight in NYC.

what poster has watched Pacquiao, Mayweather and Inoue live in their lifetime?
