    I'd like to see Inoue fight in America to raise his global profile, sure, but he's not required to do so by any means. He's the A-side. The world doesn't revolve around America. The boxing world doesn't either. I say that as an American. If Andre Ward was allowed to fight the majority of his big fights in Oakland, I don't see why Inoue can't do the same thing. Besides, I love the atmosphere in Japanese arenas.

    It's hilarious to see literally everyone in this thread making excuses for Inoue instead of just wanting him to fight a dangerous opponent.

    Inoue is likely to be on his way to fight Bam next should he win tomorrow. So that's another P4P fighter that he'll be facing down the road.

    Carrington, on the other hand, is barely getting out of prospect level by winning a vacant title. He should start by actually fighting and beating someone with a pulse like Figueroa or Espinoza before anointing him as this "dangerous opponent".

    Inoue is a superstar in his homeland who sells out 50,000-60,000 seater stadiums, is P4P #1, a four-weight champion who is 28-0-0 (23 KOs) in world title fights

    Carrington in the #3 ranked 126 pounder, hasn't even headlined his own card yet, and is a one-weight champion who is 1-0-0 (1 KO) in world title fights and he's been calling out Inoue at least since the Fulton fight, so since the 1st fight Inoue had at 122

    Fulton went to Japan and even Bam-Rod who would be coming up in weight has said he's willing to fight Inoue in Japan both of whom are/were far more accomplished and well regarded that Carrington currently is.

    The only bargaining chip Carrington has is his world title belt and it's practically meaningless at the negotiating table because he's a relative nobody compared to Inoue, would need to fight 5 times to draw the kind of crowds Inoue does in his homeland, and is a fraction as accomplished as Inoue, and again, he's the one who has been calling Inoue out. Carrington should be looking to unify at 126 or become undisputed to establish himself as the #1 at the weight and put himself in a better position at the negotiating table if he's so desperate to have home advantage

    There are actually incentives for taking a super fight in NYC compared to an isolated mono ethnic island on the other side of the planet.

    Or he can fight another top fighter his own size and Espinoza is one of those options.

    P4P best fighter right now isn't really considered a "softer touch".

    Yeah because he's a smaller guy. You seem to be against the idea of these Featherweight champions fighting against one another and unifying the titles. How would we know who the best fighter is at Featherweight if they don't face each other?

    Inoue isn't being rushed to move up because of a super fight with Bam on the horizon. Should Inoue beat Bam and he decides to move to 126 he'll most likely go straight to the best guy in that division. Carrington could be that guy if he proves it. Go fight Espinoza, Figueroa, or Leo instead of waiting around.
