you got to be kidding. Who SAYS Tua cant punch at an angle/? Did he grow up in an inferior country where such things are never taught? Is Tua a beginner? Joe has no right hand. no jab. no versatility. Outboxed in the pocket ? Who are we kidding. Joe only knows one way to fight and that's forward. Made to order for DT!! Joe comes forward into the jaws of death, gets crushed and the fight is over before it started
No dude, total strawman. I said Foreman punched from more angles and fought completely different to Tua. He was overall more skilled than Tua too. Joe has a good right hook to the body and used right uppercuts on the inside consistently/follow up right hands in addition to having better defense than Tua with the crossing guard + erratic bobbing and weaving. Tua was just more stationary. He had a good workrate but his iron chin doesn't save his body and he has less paths to setting up shots compared to Frazier and imo Tua telegraphed those hooks more. Joe had good enough recovery based on all his knockdowns against puncher to not die to the first big punch he lands You view of styles is way too simple minded. Dangerous fight for Frazier but can't favor Tua i have confidence in Fraziers chin, his superior inside skills and grit. You're outing yourself by claiming Frazier had no jab and no right hand. Do you even watch full fights of this guy ?
Tua had problems with elusive fighters and guys that boxed clever. His ideal opponent would stand in front of him to exchange. AKA Frazier. Stylistically Frazier is going to have a bad time of it. I reckon Frazier's superior defence could keep him in the game for a while, but he likely gets stopped in the second half of the fight. Then again: Foreman beat the crap out of him and Tua I think is every bit the puncher Foreman was.
Bonavena only had success against an inexperienced Joe who only had 11 fights and 11 months as a pro under his belt. Their rematch was a dominant win in favour of Joe. So If Oscar is your reference for how a fight between Tua and Frazier might go, David wouldn’t do very well.
For someone who doesn't have all the tools you claim he's missing id say he has a pretty nice resume.
Y’all really want to see Tua killed? Next thread: How would Tua do against the Ali who annihilated Cleveland Williams? Or the Louis from Schmeling II? ROFLMAO.
that's right. Joe had no right hand. no jab. no footwork. and no chance. I would bet the farm on it, and win That's money in the bank!
what's Louis' chan made of, admantium? One would think he never got knocked out by schmeling, or hurt by Conn Tua wins this one as well By knockout? Yes, by knockout
it's simple; its one gun against two. Tua however, excels at starting fast whereas Joe, is most vulnerable I would in fact, win, taking the money of anyone foolish enough to take this bet
Oh Good God … David Tua was not historically elite IMO but I guess is joining Jimmy Young and Ron Lyle on this forum as someone who could beat Thanos.
real fights arent won on paper. you confuse status with the reality of getting hit by superior firepower who cares about history when you can punch like Tua?
