I would respect Bam so much if he moves up and fights inoue, win or lose.

 

I think people gave Vargas more credit because he performed better than expected. Bam was very aggressive, clearly looking for a knockout, and hardly seemed affected by Vargas' offense. Also, Bam wasn't fighting Inoue; he was fighting Vargas, and Inoue doesn't even fight like Vargas. Vargas has a weak chin, but he's not a level below the title contenders at 118. For example, I thought Vargas beat Higa pretty clearly (114-112). As for Tsutsumi, despite winning the last three rounds in impressive fashion, he was well behind on the scorecards before the ninth. I had him winning no more than two rounds through the first eight. On a round-by-round basis I had it 115–113 for Higa.

 

Irrelevant question. Rodriguez's wins are better than Fulton and Nakatani. Also, you are arguing with the wrong guy. Bam is younger than Inoue, so of course the fighter who has been fighting at the world level his entire career has a better resume.

 

Why do you get so triggered ? Making excuse and saying only way Inoue win is size. Your ass was so confident they would make the fight. Shut the **** up.

What is funny is I like Bam. But he is not ready for 122.

 

Round 11 and Round 8 for Higa? I don't know. To me, it's very hard to argue for a Higa win in the Vargas fight. It's also very difficult for me to argue for a Tsutsumi win in the 2nd Higa fight. I can maybe understand scoring it a draw, but I don't really see a convincing case for Tsutsumi getting the decision, unless you score one of the last rounds 10-8, which I don't agree with.

 

he had success crowding bam, using his size up close, til bam took control of the distance. bams chin didnt seem bothered at all by vargas, who does have some pop, but the wrestling made bam look small. he just needs a bit more strength training. he carried up his solid chin and power, which is all he needs with his skill, to beat anyone at 118. but jumping up to 122 after only this fight is not a good idea, the kid is a skinny 5'4".

 

My post went beyond my point. My point being that Vargas is not a level below 118 titleist.

 

Bam whoops him is crazy, before Inoue fight I would have picked Bam but now it’s a toss up for me. Don’t think Bam would just whoop him. Junto has a big size advantage and real power. I don’t think Bam has fought someone who hits even close to as hard as Junto does.

 

I think it's 50/50 at 122.

 

Yeah it’s hard to say. I favor Junto but not by much. I feel like power is such an underrated factor. We saw Loma way more hesitant at 135 when he fought Campbell who was a rangy fighter with decent power and Teo and unlike Bam, Loma fought young prime dudes with real power like Sosa and Walter’s at 130. Bam has never fought anyone with real power so I’m really interested to see how he reacts to it. Even Inoue before fighting Donaire never fought a real puncher and Donaire landing that one punch changed the course of the fight completely.
