yes, he was the one to stop the then seen as unbeatable jones. This fulfils being HoF despite jones being finishedat the top.

Some HoF entries are weak, but they are famous for some record or achievement. Sven Ottkes rrecord defences even though he was beaten several times in it. Joe cowardzaghes's defence run even though most of them are not recognised and in reality he has fewer recognised defences than Froch and Ward. Does Barry McGuigan deserve it for one elite/ATG win? There are some serious backdoor entries into HoF there.

Tarver will of course never make an ATG.

I was a Tarver fan and had it not been for the PED use, I would have said yes, he deserved a HOF place, but no PED user should be in the Hall of Fame, he should be in the Hall of Shame.

Not for me. Forget whoever is in the HOF. The HOF should be for great fighters. Tarver was very good but not great.

    Absolutely.

He's famous. It's a hall of fame. He was also a champion, he was in a huge movie, and was on commentary for a while. It's crazy to think he's not worthy. People seem to think the hall of fame should only be like 4 guys who were the absolute best of the best. The bar to entry is quite easy, are they famous? If the answer is yes, then they belong.

Tarver, Benn and Golovkin were inducted into the IBHOF today.

I don't mind Tarver and Golovkin being admitted. Tarver's KO of Jones was a great win.

But Benn was British-level and was beaten twice by Steve Collins, who has never been inducted.

When you beat a legend you become a legend.
Also just remembered that Tarver also has a victory over the great Danny Santiago.
