I found out he’s from my city and I’ve never been more disappointed like, at least we have Peter Green but **** it’s bleak
I honestly don’t think Askren did any striking even just for cardio during his career. Honestly could see a rematch between him and Paul in RAF so we can see Paul dumped on his head. or maybe that’s just wishful thinking
I actually rewatched that Haye demolition job against De Mori the other month. Respect to him for getting in the ring, he’s still in the top 10% of the sport with perspective but there are levels and he talked so much **** disrespecting a former two weight world champ as if he was gonna do something lol. You can’t talk like that and get knocked out and needing an oxygen mask within 180 seconds. I just remember him being quite arrogant when hearing from him in the build up and I didn’t get why he fought with his hands down like that when he didn’t seem to have the reflexes to pull it off.
Shoot, I forgot to make my usual sarcastic comment about Joe "Lethal Weapon" Savage, the supposed Bareknuckle Champ who fought Bert Cooper and looked like a cartoon character getting kayoed with his giant upper body and pencil thin legs going into a comic face first pratfall. If you have not seen it, you certainly must see it before you leave the planet or they shut YouTube down.....
Let’s not forget journeymen are an important part of the sport, taking fights on short notice, stepping in on the night in some cases, jumping in with anybody and some give there all earning money the hard way. Some of these fighters have u believable losing records like Jordan Grannum and Paul Cummings but Boxing needs these types of fighters . https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/726262 https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/769397 Some of these Journeymen are comedy gold like Usman Ahmed This content is protected
Depends how they lose. Losing comfortably without breaking a sweat, giving a few lessons along the way, is something to be admired.
