Would Cotto at 154 had beaten Madrimov?

I would pick the Mad that fought Bud over Cotto.

Cottos a solid fighter but 154 is not meant for him.

I think Mads size, stamina, and style is enough to edge him.

It would be one id bet on. I just dont see much case for Cotto here.

I said this in 2025 and based on how Madrimov actually did against Ortiz.

    Cotto all day long.

Madrimov is too awkward and large for Cotto who started at 140. Madrimov losing to Vergil was more indicative of how good Vergil is not how bad Madrimov is.

Vergil is the goods, in my opinion. Shame DLH didnt let Vergil end Ennis

Not sure how the Ortiz fight has anything to do with Cotto. Ortiz is not only bigger then Cotto, they fight nothing alike. There are no parallels at all to be made to a Cotto fight.

And Ortiz would beat Cotto worse then he beat Mad.

I've seen quite a few of your posts and you're normally quite critical of Cotto which I can't understand.

Madrimov has an amateur style and he recently got comprehensively beaten 8-4 by Ortiz. Who himself we don't know much about at the upper echelon level.

I mean Ortiz was in a life and death struggle against Bohachuk.

And Bohachuk himself recently got comprehensively beaten by a 36 year old Brandon Adams.

So i'm not sure why you're so confident in Ortiz or Madrimov to be quite honest.

Especially Madrimov who has more of an amateur style he reminds me of Diosbelys Hurtado TBH.

Kirk literally plays with a Cotto action figure behind closed doors. Ya'll don't even know. He won't admit to it. But...we've heard him at night. So, I think he's a fan. Kirk, it's nothing to be ashamed about. I play with an Alf puppet. I've made my peace with it. I love Alf. Anyways, I don't think he's biased against him.

Madrimov was not anywhere near as versatile as Cotto?

Madrimov is exactly the kinda fighter Cotto would tee off on and side out. Cotto had become more of a mover at 154.........And in case anyone says he lost to Trout, Austin Trout was a completely different style and wrinkle for a smaller Cotto (larger and more mobile which Cotto had minor issues without throughout his career) and he would've beaten Madrimov as well.
