Zuffa is going to clean up boxing. Dead in 5 years is/was PBC. They were just the boxing version of BLM with zero actual concern for fans or for helping fighters develop...that's why all their fighters were contenders, at best.

Keyshawn is not a better opponent than Shakur. I would like to see Keyshawn in some fights, for sure, but Haney v Shakur is a much better fight. The WBO is trying to play matchmaker which is an old and tired game.

Keyshawn Davis is all wrong for Devin Haney

Height reach and athleticism

Bad matchup for Haney imo

 

Haney has a longer reach, more battle tested, sticks and moves, pretty fast himself, and can make it ugly.

 

Power and explosive difference is going to be apparent

Especially when Keyshawn Davis realizes that he can hurt Devin Haney and Devin Haney cant hurt him

 

Davis is inconsistent, consistently misses weight, and while he definitely has the tools to smash Haney to pieces, it's hard to say which version of him shows up; he's nowhere near as professional as Haney. I've constantly doubted Haney, but he turns up, is professional, and could definitely pot-shot and win rounds vs Davis. If the best version of both shows up at 147, I have Davis. I also hope Davis wins to avoid the horrendous possibility of a 12-round bout between Shakur and Devin.

 

Albright made it all 12 rounds and Ortiz didn’t get stopped until the end of the 12th. I think Haney will be fine
