Would Cotto at 154 had beaten Madrimov?

The only fighter I lesser than Madrimov is Jarrett Hurd although I do think Madrimov would beat Hurd.

Cotto would beat up Madrimov

 

That's not the definition of being overrated, that's taking into account size, styles, fighter activity, etc. I guess you believe the more established fighter ALWAYS wins?

Cotto was far from at his best at 154.

 

And Madrimov is no one, until I see Madrimov actually beat someone i favor Cotto, Madrimov is not even a big puncher lol

I think its an interesting fight for sure, one I would have picked Cotto (154 Cotto was strong). Cotto was 6-3 at 154 with 2 world titles won as well. Beat the likes of Kamegai, Geale, Yuri, got his much needed revenge against Margarito in a thrilling rematch and beat up a tough out in Ricardo Mayorga. Madrimov has a fine defense sure but he wouldn't carry the fire power to last down the stretch vs Miguel. Cotto by mid (ill say late) stoppage

 

Are you stupid or something? They eye test is something you should use when gauging boxers. It's not the only thing to judge boxers though, but it's a tool to see how their technique is. Not to mention natural strength, activity like I said.

Now, none of that means I think he would have beaten Cotto. But 154 Cotto was NOT as good as 140 or 147 Cotto. So Madrimov lost to two top guys in his first 14 fights. And some keyboard warrior noob quickly calls him overrated. You don't even know what overrated means.

 

Madrimov is overrated and he has beaten no one. Cotto walks through him

 

it's kinda dumb if you ask me. cotto would have broke his ribs and then his obital in the same 3 piece and then spun away

 

It depend at his last fight Israil Madrimov was not that good, I think he is on decline now.

So Cotto at 154 lbs have his change against this Madrimov of 2026.
