Anyone who thinks a slow midget attrition puncher with poor balance can beat a postmodern athletic giant with immaculate sense of distance, punishing counters and an absolutely granite chin is delusional beyond all help that can be provided.

 

I mean, surely calling Vitali a postmodern figure, someone who rejects universal truths, and painting that in a positive light, goes against the spirit of the rest of the post.

Well it's good to know that he lived on a placid island of igorance in the midst of black seas of infinity. I like when fighters are optimistic.

 

Vitali took legitimate power punches from Lewis and Sanders. He’s not getting stopped by anyone 5’10” 185lbs with a 68” reach, even if that man was an ATG. Maybe it goes the distance but Vital wins every round.

I discount him. This match-up is ludicrous. Vitali would beat that midget to a pulp 100 times out of 100.

 

That giant puncher Byrd stopped him. Wouldn’t discount the HW w the best KO record ever. Think Wlads a much harder go than his brother.

 

Marciano beat a lot of guys he shouldn't have through sheer guts and firepower ... but not in this one. I'd drop the mortgage on Vitali beating him.

Means nothing. How many great fighters had Vitali stopped?
A better gauge (imo) is judging people from their ten rounders on. Vitali had 13 less than ten to start his career compared with 12 for Marciano. Vitali never knocked out anyone of note. Sanders and Peters being his best and those were in the 8th. Marciano knocked out HOFers along with some top rated contenders.
