He also got dropped, more a flash knockdown than anything else, but his punch resistance is gone. I wondered why Dave Allen chose to fight Hrgovic instead of an Ortiz rematch. Ortiz probably still too skilled, but definitely a punchers chance for Allen.
Excitement and anticipation is starting to make way for just getting it over and done with on this one.
It shows how desperate the boxing industry is to make boxing big in the USA again but there’s nobody here, so they decide to stage one of the biggest and popular UK fighters to fight in the USA. lol
It seems ridiculous that this fight may not be in the UK. It won't do as well in the USA - most Americans have never heard of Joshua, many are not familiar with Fury. But everybody in the UK knows who they are.
The backflash would be huge if it didn't happen in Britain, maybe this is some bargaining strategy from team Fury. Fury has fought in the US and has always sold well. Joshua's fights in America were also well received. If you remember the Klitschko rematch was almost set for November of 2017 in Vegas, so even then people wanted AJ in Vegas.
True, but Joshua has had multiple losses since then, and Fury has had two losses plus periods of inactivity, so I think their stock has fallen.
I think trying to get the fight made in US might be Fury's brand new way of ducking. No way will it not happen in UK.
