    Golovkin should get in

Tarver and Benn, I am less sure of. I don't have an issue with them getting in but they aren't the first names that come to mind

It was also in an era when there were many alltime great fighters. Jones, McCallum, Toney, aren't just world class, they are great.

Do you guys know what the expression "at worst" means?

GGG should have won the first fight; there's really no debate there. The second fight could have gone either way, and the third fight was a dominant Canelo victory; again, no debate.

So, at worst, Canelo went 2–1 against GGG. Personally, I had the trilogy 1–1–1.

That said, I still think Canelo is the better fighter regardless of how you score the fights. Canelo started as a 147-pounder and was having competitive fights with a career middleweight. It's the same reason most sane people rank Duran and Leonard above Hearns. I know people will bring up PEDs, but most world-class fighters are using PEDs. As for GGG, he is Central Asian, so no doubt in my mind he was on something like meldonium and other PEDs.

Yes, Roy Jones Jr. and James Toney were famously "clean" fighters.

Also, "British level" is a laughable. Do you think "British level" automatically means a British fighter? You're making me smile.

I've never seen either Jones or Toney resort to illegal tactics like rabbit punches and deliberate head butts in the ring - because they had great skills, they never needed to.

Ok, I was joking because you mentioned “clean fighters” in regard to Roy Jones and Toney, who are famously associated with PEDs.

However, you also mentioned Hopkins in the same post and described him as a great, world-class fighter. Hopkins is a bigger cheat than Benn; he loved headbutts, low blows, and faking injuries. Besides Andre Ward, he’s one of the dirtiest fighters I’ve seen in my life. Also, the boxing Hall of Fame seems to include plenty of dirty fighters: Liston, Billy Smith, Pedroza, Foreman, and Zivic are some of the first names that come to mind.

That fact seems to have been lost, they mostly played in the UK against domestic and european level, Benn tested himself a couple of times against the americans.

Tarver was a multi-champ. Benn was just British.
