Inoue is not gonna lose to anyone smaller than him (anyone coming up in weight). He may eventually lose to someone larger.............not smaller though
Inoue knocks him out. Bam was reacting badly and getting hit too clean and too often Vargas, who isn't anywhere close to Inoue's league. He and his team realized this after the fight, hence why they did not call out Inoue after the fight.
Inoue stops Bam. Based off of the Vargas fight (and the Israel Gonzalez fight), Bam really doesn't cope well when opponents can back him up, pivot with him, and force him to work at a pace or distance which he hasn't set. Bam looks tremendous against slow-footed guys like Sor Rungvisai, but against a guy with quicker feet than him and just as much power like Inoue, he's going to struggle immediately. Also, most of his defence is centred around him being in good positioning, rather than being particularly reactive, so he gets hit noticeably more as soon as anyone can take his angles away from him. Bad recipe against Inoue, who still has plenty of spring in his legs.
Sean is a certified Inoue hater. He's never given Inoue the credit or praise he deserves and always doubts his performances in some way. I suspect it's because Inoue the Japanese fighter was not supposed to destroy his boy Stephen Fulton and he's had a grudge ever since. He did get put in his place a day later after this video though by Rahim in their podcast.
Honestly this is a great assessment. Bam is a master of positions, he’s definitely athletic but not even close to as athletic as Inoue is. Will be interested to see how he deals with someone who will punch where he’s moving, is faster and hits harder.
