Zhilei Zhang against Dave Allen in September

Zhang and Ortiz need to throw down already.

 

Absolutely pointless

 

Allen is durable because of his underrated defense. Hrgovic got around his defense and Allen could not even last 3 rounds, even tho Hrgovic is not a particularly heavy puncher.

Also, Allen fighting 5 times in 2026 was not on my bingo card.

 

They are going to need a quantum computer to calculate the combined age of both men.

 

What happened to Allen vs Carty at Croke Park?
Much less dangerous and a lot more winnable for Dave.

 

Allen was anything but durable in his last fight,he looked terrible tbh,Im sorry but if Allen is to carry on with his career he needs to keep it at British level like he said himself after the Hrgovic debacle !

 

Who did Allen **** off that they want to see him die in the ring?

 

Allen will get knocked in to next week via a brutal KO.

Why is his team allowing this

 

Because Allen gets them paid, that's why.
Hearn used to exploit Allen too, because Allen sold tickets, and to be fair he was a solid local talent for a while, so I wont knock Hearn too much for some of the matchups; taking on Luis Ortiz on short notice should have gotten Hearn investigated by the BBBofC tho.

Allen has a chin, but I can realistically see his light turned off here

 

As long as he is selling tickets, there are few people around him who will step in and have a word with him. Dave probably has more people concerned about him on this forum than he does in his inner circle who sit around counting the cash. If Zhang can flatline Joe Joyce, then he could do permanent damage to Allen, absolutely horrible fight.

 

Poor match up really. Zhang has literally knocked down every opponent he has fought.

That on top of Allen’s hopeless defence will only go one way…
