So are the belts being given away after Usyk’s move?

    Bit of a surprise.

Obviously Dubois has the WBO and will rematch Wardley.

Kabayel being moved up to WBC champion? Same for Sanchez with IBF? And Gassiev with WBA?

Itauma I think is ranked number 1 mandatory with 3 of the organisations at least.

Sanchez will fight for the ibf him vs Torrez was an eliminator, hopefully Jalolov can get that fight. He is better than Richard Torrez and can keep the fight at range and nullify Sanchez's strengths. Jalolov needs to make his move now

It makes Gassiev vs Yoka a bigger fight, for the full WBA title.

The IBF will have a matchup for the vacant title, Sanchez vs TBA. I would like to see Sanchez-Jalolov, but I think it will likely be someone like Joshua (if he wins next month) or Riakporhe, both having powerful British promoters. Hrgovic and Itauma seem to be locked into a fight in August, but Warren should allow Itauma to fight Sanchez and Hrgovic to fight Kabayel.

Kabayel will now be the WBC titleholder. I doubt if the #1 contender Fury will be brave enough to face him.

Usyk hasn't vacated the Ring belt. This all but confirms that he will sign with Zuffa. IMO, Usyk versus Wilder is next.

Usyk isn't giving up the title he's giving up oversight and accountability.

    I hope not.

I honestly cannot stand it when fighters get elevated to full champion, it's one of my most hated things in boxing. The number 1 and number 2 of each organisation should fight for the vacant belt. You're not doing the fighter any favours by elevating them to full champion... you're actually ruining their dream of winning it in the ring, a moment they've probably dreamt of since they were kids. It's actually pretty cruel. No fighter, unless they only fight for the money, wants to be just GIVEN the belt.

You can't vacate the Ring belt, can you?

It is yours until you retire and if Usyk fights on, his next fight he defends it. That's how it works.

I don't see why he couldn't vacate it. The Ring belt isn't necessary the lineal belt. For example Roy Jones was the magazine champion, whereas Dariusz Michalczewski was the lineal/true champion. In my opinion, Turki and co have different plans for Usyk.

I think what you posted is what will happen,I’m gutted tbh I honestly thought Usyk would go out like Lewis when he faced Klitschko in his final fight. Lewis defeating Klitschko by stoppage who was at the time the WBA and WBC no 1 ranked Heavyweight,Ring ranked no 10 heavyweight and Ring ranked no 10 lb for lb fighter . As for the Lineal Title that stays with the Champion until he is beaten or retires forever ,just like Tyson bringing Spinks out of retirement to get the Lineal Title from him which Tyson coveted the most for all its History and being tied to all the greats from the past he idolised and looked up to. Or it could be just like Lewis retiring with the Lineal Title and never fighting again which was then bestowed on Wladimir .

    Good move

Usyk is still the #1 guy but he isn't obliged to face anyone he doesn't want to and nor does he have to pay tonnes in sanctioning fees anymore

It also encourages other contenders to step on the gas now and carve out their own legacy and get big pay days for themselves. More exciting fights for the fans incoming

Gassiev isn't keeping the WBA long if he gets it.

I think you can. I'm sure I remember Fury vacating it during one of his "retirements", to try and make it look as if he was serious, despite not vacating the WBC belt. I think it was after the Whyte fight. It then became available for Usyk to fight for and win, which he did so, and he's held onto it ever since.

True. Now where in the USA can we watch it?? If you do a search it says DAZN's carrying it .... but as usual the idiots at DAZN allow info to float out there that they're carrying a fight and don't have it listed on their own site. :ohno
