Before he drank himself to oblivion and fell apart physically and mentally. I think he would've given him hell, while maybe not win. Remember, even the corpse of Taylor never got stopped. People tend to forget, for a small period of time, the man was one of the best fighters on the planet.

Rewatched round 3 and Super Boots was definitely hurt and wobbly but to be fair he did get caught clean with a lot of shots in that round and especially during maybe a 60 second period while he was hurt.

He's very aggressive and good to watch but he needs to try and not be so reckless at this weight vs the big punchers. He may well stop them himself but the likes of Ortiz, Bak-Mur and Madrimov hit a lot harder than Zayas. They might not be as big as Zayas who comes in at 180 at 154 and is a huge weight bully but they're probably roughly about the same size as Super Boots and carry heavy KO power in both hands

IDK what it is, but some posters on here develop feelings like a lover over "their guy." Maybe its the trans stuff, IDK...

Anyhow, it all makes sense now why Boots still hasnt fought 1 top guy at 30 yrs of age and 40 fights

Vergil will brutally stop Boots btw

Personally I think he's improving. You can see his evolution as a fighter between the Bohachuk and Madrimov fights, then what he did to Lubin was a thing of beauty.

Oh god I’m for sure not comparing him to Bud in the sense you may think, it was more of a sense of when you are so much better than your opposition, you can afford to go 100% gas but don’t be surprised when you get hurt. What I’m saying is that when Boots needs to I think he will actually put his defence in his suitcase and bring it with him. Just like I didn’t judge Bud off the occasions he would get clipped hard I won’t judge Boots chin negatively until he’s scrambling on the floor.

I could also be contradicting myself though because I’m still a firm believer that Benavidez is packing glass and I won’t have his big nipples tell me any different.

Hey, I've been saying Vergil stops him for years! Ennis has a glass jaw, I've suspected that for quite some time, based on how he's reacted when touched, which is usually negatively. There's a reason he's ducking punchers. Well from here on out, that's not an option for him.

This dude could blast Ortiz head off in the first round, become undisputed at 168 and you still wouldn't give him credit. You'll just say Vergil Ortiz overrated after he loses to Boots.

Go ahead and answer which top guys you want boots to beat. He beats them all

I was a big fan of Taylor but Postol, Baranchyk and Prograis was one of the easier roads to undisputed that I can remember.

Lmfao! Never dropped as a pro but doesn't have chin. Thats like saying pbf didnt have a chin when he was buzzed hard by Corley. This is boxing you're gonna get hurt or buzzed in fights its how you respond is what matters

Well, unfortunately, we can't really measure Ennis' chin compared to Ortiz, because the man has never set foot in the ring with a puncher. Yet Karen buzzed him several times and Zayas had him out on his feet for like 90 seconds. Great, 2 cuffing balance shots dropped Ortiz coming off of a 2 year illness, which he immediately leapt up from, not hurt in the slightest, and was hurt by the same guy that beat Crawford. If anything, that proves his does have a solid set of whiskers.

Also beating Kavaliauskas and Madrimov more impressively than Crawford, should impress a hell of a lot more than whatever this was tonight!
