This has been at the top of Usyk's wish list for a while. Not surprised.

Usyk is going to take a dive and hand the lineal heavyweight crown over to the Americans. That way, he’ll have paid his dues to them.

And yet a LOT of people on these boards seem to fancy it, so maybe not as bad as you are making out?

Interesting fight. Wilder won't quit, and I can see him putting on a huge effort but ultimately losing.

Are there better fights to take? Sure. But as long as it isn't for titles Usyk can fight whoever he wants.

Usyk will Chin Wilder in the first 6 rounds. Wilder has no Chin. None.

It's not an interesting fight at all. Wilder is totally shot an can barely a punch anymore. This fight is a farce and basically just a scam.

If Wilder hadn't won a 12-round war of attrition back and forth with Chisora, then there'd be zero need for this fight. It would be a real shame to see a legend like Usyk get beaten by Wilder, who, from a technical perspective, is such a steaming pile of dog****. Someone will beat him eventually, though.

If he was going to bow out at the top and undefeated, then the Dubois rematch win was the time to do it. I'm expecting Usyk vs Fury 3, Rico 2, and then probably a loss to Itauma when he has slowed right down sometime next year. Only a handful of legends know when to quit.

Usyks team knows what they're doing he's not fighting Itauma he's fighting old names from his own generation and milking gimmick fights before retiring for good, he wouldn't avoid Kabayel then fight Itauma

Wilder had a reasonable showing against Chisora, and Usyk is also far from his best. For what's essentially an exhibition fight it could be far worse, and it's not as though it's for any titles.
