Tyson Fury vs Mariusz Wach, official for July 24th in Thailand

Announced on Fury’s Instagram. I wasn’t so naive to think Fury would fight anyone with a pulse, but old ass Wach is disappointing and a step down from even Makhmudov. Even Nelson Hysa would’ve been better. I suppose it makes sense because Fury is just filtering for 6’6+ tall super heavies as preparation for Joshua, but Wach is a poor choice.

But as long as the Joshua fight happens by the end of the year, that’s fine I guess.

I think I've gotten to the point now where the old guard of Fury, AJ and Usyk simply don't interest me anymore. Even AJ vs Fury is rapidly losing appeal due to this excessive marination. Bring on the next generation!

This would have been a pretty neat fight.....in 2012.

 

I would actually die laughing if Wach won this one. Obviously no hope in hell of that happening but my word would that be the funniest thing I've ever seen, as well as potentially the biggest upset in boxing history... Like really, this would have to be up there with Douglas catching lightning in a bottle and beating Tyson, wouldn't it?

 

This one is just for the sake of Fury keeping busy, shedding more ring rust and making a couple extra quid before him and Joshua cash out against each other.
