At 135 Oscar was a force to be reckoned with. I really liked Rosario but De La Hoya is a level or two above him. I will take Oscar by decision, 145-140
Oscar is a heavy favorite at whatever weight they meet at. Just a more complete fighter all around. Rosario was rough and hit hard. But defense was average as was his chin. I also think Oscar was quicker and overall more skilled
Rosario has to get the ko to walk out with the win. Arum's moneymaker and HBO influence? Rosario is down 3 rounds before the bout starts. And he'll be eating jabs from a distance and then Oscar's left hook comes into play.
Oscar is the more skilled and well rounded boxer of the two. I think he'll be able to beat Rosario in one sided fashion and eventually wearing him down to a stoppage victory late in the fight. Trinidad was practically a bigger more dangerous version of Rosario and Oscar arguably beat him.
Oscar was just so much bigger and longer, pretty much a size bully at this weight. Add to it his skills and talent and that is too much for Chapo to overcome. Late stoppage.
Oscar was never really a 135 pound fighter. He could have never made 135 with same day weigh-ins. In Rosario's era, Oscar would have started no lower than Welterweight. And, Oscar would have had his hands full with many of the 80s Welterweights.
