I’m not hyping anybody,I’m just stating that because somebody gets dropped, that is not the end of there career and neither does is it mean they still can’t go on to do great things .
I can’t help but think that Zuffa is at play in this somewhere,no doubt we will find out soon enough .
Let's see how many great challangers Kabayel will duck. No way he will fight Fury, Joshua or Itauma in next 2 years. He'll use every political maneuvers to duck serious challengers, because he's not a real champion.
We will no doubt see how his career path goes, any ducking and il be the first to call it . I do have a feeling though he fancy’s going after Undisputed himself as he should do tbh .
So both don't matter then. Usyk ducked Kabayel and deprived him of a chance to become the heavyweight king.
What a wonderful post. You encapsulate the way I think, but I was trying to 'think' like Usyk. I'd go as far as saying that boxing fly in the face of most philosophical analyses, but if I was going to go down the utilitarian route, I'd suggest the maximum pleasure/maximum people route has the danger of becoming a Benthamesque parody, the likes of Misfits and the like, whereas I was always on the side of JS Mill who believed in the availability of the finest to all rather than encouraging mere pigs at a trough. Whilst we might at times resemble Socrates dissatisfied, there might be an argument as of late that the Saudi money has made matches the quality on paper at least unparalleled in recent times, and they are available to all, the caveat being the elitist overtone of 'if you have the money!!'. I'd agree re Paterson and Louis.... Take care man, peace and love always, Px
Kaybayel says that when he's in the same situation that maybe he'll do the same as what Usyk did This content is protected And people keep repeating that Usyk took a year off between Dubois II and Rico but it was actually 10 months and that was after having fought 3 times in 14 months which is a lot and an awful lot by Usyk's activity standards at HW and we all know that his camps are long and gruelling and all those fights were vs reigning champs sans the rematch vs Belly and the #1 or #2 guys #1 Belly #1 Belly #2 Dubois Like I said, Usyk deserves some criticism but it's only a tiny part of an otherwise immaculate and amazing career and the most virtuous conduct in and out of the ring from him and taking an approach countless other champs and greats wouldn't do and that none are doing now or expected to or that This content is protected And if anyone actually believes Usyk is scared of Kabayel is either insane or has suffered some kind of head trauma and is suffering from post-traumatic amnesia and they'v forgotten who Usyk is and who he has fought pro, amateur/WSB The fearless road warrior who has literally forged a career seeking out the best in their backyards on a deck stacked against him and jumping at the opportunity to do so time and time again Has barely fought any soft touches at all Has run a murderer's row of KO artists and legit bangers in their backyards or on the road and at HW giants/massive punching giants, again in their backyards and on the road And who has been the one who has constantly been at a disadvantage and often numerous or many disadvantages simultaneously at HW As said, he turns 40 in January, is the 4th oldest HW of all time, the 3rd oldest unified HW champ of all time, and the oldest undisputed HW champion of all time and only 2 HWs in the history of the sport have won a HW title at his age or older and they were both freakishly iron-chinned career HWs who weighed 240-250 + lbs with extremely high KO percentages (KO 89% and KO 91%) and in their mid-late 30s-40s were fighting men smaller than them or roughly their size not way bigger than them in their opponent's backyards and they were not fighting pretty much exclusively the #1 and #2 guys And like I have said many times, if Usyk were to lose at 38-40 + so he would be absolutely crucified for having done so and judged as if he was in his prime and it would be used a scythe to tear apart his entire legacy which is a standard no other fighter in held to despite him being one of the least deserving of such harsh and unfair treatment How many 39-40 y/o champs at the end of their career are just expected to take their belts and travel into the lion's den of their prime opponent's backyard who is much bigger and younger than them, let alone when they're the P4P #1 or #2, very much the A-side and have forged a career doing that or fighting and defending their belts in their opponent's backyard and on the road? At 38.5 y/o Usyk took his 3 belts and travelled over to backyard of the much younger, much bigger murderous punching KO 95% Dubois and I'm struggling to think of any other HW champ who ever did that at his age. He was giving away huge advantages is size, youth, power and home advantage and vs a very dirty fighter too which obviously was another disadvantageous factor working against him and could so easily have cost him dearly in Dubois' backyard Usyk has given the haters and critics so little ammunition throughout his career they have to cling to it like a drowning man to a rubber ring when he finally gives them a bullet or two when old and at the end stage of his career
Yes, so would any fan of the sport too Great fight between 2 extremely complete and formidable fighters
If I were in Usyks position I would fight a lot more frequently (2-3x per year). So I would never be in this position to begin with because I would already be retired and would have fought Kabayel years earlier. Kabayel would be a good warm up fight for Joshua c2020-2021
I am not sure about the saudi money, at first it was fireworks with the best card ever headed by bivol and beterbiev, but since then it surely has slowed and it seems boxers and their managers play it safer than before to get to that money pot eventually, because once is enough for a whole career. And I'd like to think boxing as pure entertainment / wwe would not be sustainable. But it's a very interesting point. I like what I just read about Mill, seems like a good guy
No you wouldn't. In the age of PPV being the main money maker, the promoters would never put up the money to allow you to fight that much.
Apparently not? He is being castigated like he is Ramirez avoiding Opetaia by pretending he never heard of him.
