Some fighters have lost their parents during camp have they not? How is that not equally or more impactful on a fighter? Physically, he was cleared rather quickly and has been in camp and presumably sparring.

It's not a completely different topic to point out that he's been fighting **** opponents anyway. If anything, it highlights why the crash largely wouldn't have mattered because he was never going to make the jump from Jake Paul to a fighter with a pulse anyway.

We can agree to disagree, but this crash just feels like a pre-written excuse from fans to give AJ a pass for when he loses to Fury. Makes me think there's zero point in Fury taking the fight because he won't get credit for it anyway.

Did you read how bad the accident was and what AJ would have actually seen happen? He may be permanently ****ed from seeing that -- many would be.

I'm not saying AJ won't have some form of PTSD, but does that suddenly translate to him sucking at boxing? If he didn't want to continue, he wouldn't have signed to fight Fury to begin with so let's cut it with the premade excuses. People die. People move on.

I agree on the joshua side, but the reason for fury to take this fight isn't credit but money. How much credit do you think he gains from fighting Wach?

Fury is done. Joshua is done. And we'll see about Usyk when they announce his next opponent, but his legendary career is over, too. Next up is entertainment.

Fine by me, even better when they all retire (rare today, crawford is the only one who recently managed to say no to money and from him I would have liked to see a few more fights in super welter). Then the boxing world can concentrate on those who still have to challenge themselves and who don't earn millions by fighting someone noone knows or who is way past it.

PS: the jake paul fight wasn't him going for it. It was ridiculous and an embarrassment for everyone, but not because joshua tried. Rather because he tried not to look like not trying.
