Would a new Heavyweight Super 6 style competition help a new era form?

I think you've come up with a great plan!

 

A tournament is a good idea.

 

Tournaments especially more then 4 people don't work in boxing too many moving parts. A lot of the tournaments bigger than that were planned end up devolving into a mess. To the point you have to do research to understand the bracket.

In today's era you can't build a bracket of elite guys who all agree to fight 3 fights against elite opponents in a row in accordance with a bracket. Fighters have largely given up on eliminators because they get no security from winning them and if they lose their career gets set back years. A tournament is basically three eliminators in a row.

 

Or we could have a repeat with one fighter holding all the belts,holding the division up taking a crossover fight and then dropping all the belts to avoid the mandatory’s and then fighting a lesser opponent !

 

I’m certain Turki has deep enough pockets and the connections that he could certainly make a Tournament possible involving all the Heavyweight Belt holders,but is he more interested in going the Zuffa route instead !
