Could Marvin Hagler clear Murderers Row undefeated

Marshall was ranked as a LHW by Ring 8 times. Only once as a MW.
Marshall was only at or below the MW limit 7 of his last 94 fights. Marshall had nearly as many fights over the LHW limit(6). He beat a lot of MW notables but so did lots of LHW's.
Marshall only fought 4 of the 7 murderers row members. 2 of them once early in his career.

He doesn't really fit in with the group to the point where you include him in a question like this it totally changes the question. The group is also known for their lack of world titles. Holman Williams and Cocoa's Kid's duration title fight ended in a draw. Marshall was duration champ about a year.

 

Marvin was great but he wasn’t THAT great.

 

I can’t see him beating Holman Williams or Burley, then again, they also lost to lesser long forgotten/never was fighters. I can see Hagler splitting wins and losses in trilogies with them.

 

He has a slim chance. If he fighting closer to this era, I would favor him to do so.

 

I don't think there's enough Murderer's Row footage for us to make an educated pick.

How about he faces each of them over a 7-8 year title reign to make it realistic.

Agree, that would make a lot more sense, if that was the case I don't think it's utterly implausible that he clears out all of the Row, the general consensus, I would imagine, is he would have the most trouble with Williams and Burley, from what I have read over my years, Holman is credited with being a defensive genius, the venerable Futch, is on record stating as much, as well as other notable scribes and trainers, so not reading about lots of aggression and attacking, which I believe you will need to overcome the versatile Hagler, as alluded to by other posters Antuofermo gave him a rough time by using crowding tactics, not a style I would associate with Williams from what I have read, as for Burley, once again, from the articles I have seen, he was a somewhat cautious fighter, who could be very tentative, add to this he was not one for combinations, rather the one solid punch, there are anecdotes abound, about the champs of the day avoiding him, with good reason I would say, some contemporary reporters would have it that Burley wasn't a draw, albeit a great fighter, and the champs viewed a defense against him would be high risk for low reward, meaning the public would not turn out in their droves to see such a fight, so all the above considered, I think Hagler has a good shot at beating them all, of course this is not set in stone, but I will go out on a limb, and say I believe he " could " pull it off.

Marvin didn’t even get through the Philly middleweights without a blemish, much less the other Fab Four guys.

Hagler was great. He would win more than he lost vs this bunch, but no way does he run the gauntlet unbeaten.
