If Wlad beats Kabayel at the age of 50, how does it affect his legacy?

Moorer was a Glass Jawed Fighter which is suicidal against someone like Foreman.

How much greater would the story be if Kabayel does stop Wlad, and then Vitali comes out of retirement, doffs his mayor's hat and flattens Agit to become the oldest champ at 54?

 

Vitali doesn't have the resume and historical standing that Wlad has, so he probably wouldn't even surpass his brother. Kabayel would probably be the third best boxer he ever beaten.

But the story would be epic. The fourth, the ultimate, revenge of the Klitschko.

 

He beat Thompson quite handily both times.

 

And Ali also had a lot of controversial fights at the end that he arguably lost. So...

 

Don't forget the tension in the ropes.

 

Wlad didn't. He clearly won all of his fights as the champion until Fury.

 

Idk, the hugging was controversial at times - with Povetkin, especially... It's not that he arguably lost, more that he shouldn't have got away with it.

 

Well, it works both ways. If Wlad was warned for hugging in the Pov fight, he wouldn't do it. You fight as the ref lets you. And ref was picked by Pov's team as they won a purse bid and staged the fight in Moscow. He got away with hugging, sure, but on the enemy turf with a ref picked by the enemy's camp.

 

Either way, it's a slight stretch to say Wlad was completely uncontroversial.

 

He was controversial, but in reality, which great champ wasn't? My point was - he doesn't have any disputed wins like Ali during his second reign.

 

I agree. Foreman had lost to Tommy Morrison right before that fight, was actually outboxed by him. Foreman also never had a legit good showing after the Moorer fight and arguably lost all of those fights
