Orzubek Nazarov vs Miguel Angel Gonzalez

Two Lightweight world champs in the 90s who didn't get the chance to face each other. Both known for their aggressive style, solid technique and punching power. Both guys have the power to stop the other. A missed opportunity on what could have been a firefight.

 

I think I would go with Nazarov in a good fight.

 

I like Nazarov in this. Decision bout all the way.

Just think Gonzalez under performs once again in a big bout. Hangs tough but does not get the win. And that southpaw accuracy would be very difficult for him to deal with.

 

Miguel was pure class. The version that took Leavander Johnson's 0, stopped a streaking Mendy (southpaw) and beat Rocha would have enough to beat Nazarov.

 

The M.A.G. that got a gift decision over Lamar "Speed" Murphy would lose to Nazarov.

 

Gift my pasty white ass.

 

That was one of the worst decisions I have ever seen - Murphy beat the crap out of him.

 

I am a huge Gonzalez fan, fights with Mendy and Levander Johnson were underrated classics.

His off the floor win over Rocha in the 1st fight was pretty good too.

Great chin, never die attitude, good body puncher and solid power make him a handful for anyone.

Was not difficult to hit and could be outboxed.

Did beat solid boxer types in David Sample (Southpaw), Calvin Grove and arguably include the talented Hector Lopez on that list.

Nazarov was a brutal southpaw boxer puncher.

Gonzalez could not impose his will like in other fights and would be taking lots of punishment to both head and body.

There would be some intense exchange in the middle rounds as the Mexican warrior will try and turn the tide.

Navarov was never stopped and as far as I know never dropped or hurt so I see the him surviving to come on strong.

Miguel is tough but wouldn´t be surprised if he´s battered to a standstill in the 11th.

I found it a close but convincing win for Gonzalez. If that is what you claim to be the worst decision you ever seen I have to ask how many fights you have seen? 5?

 

How can anybody doubt a fighter with a moustache like that one?

 

I said "one of the worst decisions" not the worst decision.
There is absolutely no way Gonzalez won that fight. Lets also remember that one judge scored it 117- 109 for GONZALEZ which is insane.
It was a pure robbery Murphy landed the more telling blows AND was the aggressor the entire fight.
