So as it turns out, Joyce was offered the Gassiev fight and turned it down.

Wise move. He would have been KOed by Gassiev. He has a much better chance against Suskenkov who is an accumulation puncher and doesn't have Gassiev's one-punch KO power.

Suslenkov is a spoiler, who has a poor gas tank, which is why he wrestles and holds more than throwing actual punches. Joe is much too big and strong to try that on. The Juggernaut pummels him into submission.

A Russian boxer will lose to a British boxer in Moscow, in the during the war between Russia and the West? LOL.

Yep, just like an Aussie boxer went to Chechnya and KO'd an Uzbek-Chechen. Boxing is CRAZY LIKE THAT!

This fight is made just to elevate Suslenkov, it's so obvious. A 40 year old once famous, shot British boxer is fighting an upcoming Russian with no losses in Moscow.

Yes, I know. But just because that's how something is planned, doesn't mean that will always be the end result. They call them upsets for a reason. Do you think they intended for Muratalla to beat Cruz? Or Kambosos to beat Lopez? Of course not, so knock off the conspiratorial nonsense. Sure, they could very well rob Joyce, but they can't prevent Joyce from KOing the thoroughly average Suslenkov.

Juggernaut turned down a cruiser for a title, that is hilariously pathetic. The myth of the juggernaut is well behind him now.
And people say these fighters are warriors. That was his best chance to be a 'champion'. Gassiev got beaten by Wallin just due to being small at HW really.
Juggernaut can rebuild for a run later on maybe, perhaps when he's 50.

Suslenkov suits JJ stylistically, but Joyce is so old now. If the big dude can turn it into a wrestling match he will win.

Joyce is the heaviest he's ever been for a fight at 289 pounds - he'll outweigh Suslenkov by about 60 pounds.

Agreed. I'm picking Suslenkov to win because he's younger, fresher, fighting at home, and Big Joe's slow-fast speed has been shot for years but it's in no way a confident pick and Big Joe has a huge size advantage and is just the much naturally bigger man and I won't be in the least bit surprised if he pulls it off

I find this hard to believe, when has Joyce ever ducked anyone, i read elsewhere that the wba are the ones who turned it down which is more plausible.

He admitted to wanting to duck the Zhang rematch, which would have been a smart move. I have not seen evidence he ducked Gassiev but it would not shock me, given his age, wear, one week's notice, KO artist opponent.
